ORLANDO -- As the clock count down to Casey Anthony's return to Orlando to begin serving her probation, we have confirmed that reports of her signing a big, six-figure deal are not true.
The Los Angeles Examiner quoted anonymous sources saying the book was expected to name Caylee's father.
But I spoke Monday night with Casey's attorney, Jose Baez, who confirmed the report was false.

Casey Anthony: There is no book deal, Jose Baez says
Have you heard those reports that Casey Anthony has a six-figure book deal?
The Los Angeles Examiner quoted unnamed sources in the report, which sounded nebulous. As a reader points out, a six-figure deal could be anything from $100,000 to $999,999.
Defense attorney Jose Baez tells Central Florida News 13 that the report of a book deal isn’t true.
In another report Monday, WESH-Channel 2 cited unnamed sources in reporting that Anthony’s defense team will appeal Chief Judge Belvin Perry’s ruling that Anthony must start serving probation for check fraud on Aug. 26. “Anthony is expected to argue that Perry does not have jurisdiction to order probation now,” WESH’s Bob Kealing reported.
Attorney Richard Hornsby, a legal analyst for WESH, initially highlighted the error that Anthony wasn’t serving probation as Judge Stan Strickland had outlined. On WESH, Hornsby predicted that the appellate court will side with Perry and that Anthony will have to start probation. Anthony could report to any Department of Corrections office in Florida, but a department spokeswoman said it doesn’t know where she is or how safety concerns will be handled.
In other Anthony news, Mark Lippman, the attorney for George and Cindy Anthony, has issued a statement that Casey Anthony will not be living at home when she returns for probation.
