Albuquerque police are investigating the suspicious death of a nine or ten month old child near Interstate 40 and Juan Tabo.
Police say they were called to 12021 Skyline Road NE just after 6 p.m.,
Friday for a possible drowning. Officers found the baby unresponsive.
Sources close to the investigation say both parents were reportedly intoxicated at the time the child drowned.
Both parents were being questioned late Friday night and CYFD says a
two-year-old child was being taken into state protective custody.
CYFD has investigated the family before.
No other details were immediately released.

The parents of the 10 month-old baby, who drowned in a bath tub,
are in jail Sunday morning charged for the child's death.
Police say the 10 month-old was left inside a tub for two hours with his two year-old brother.
The two-year-old alerted his parents, worried about his 10 month-old baby brother.
The incident took place Friday evening at the Sandia Ridge Apartments on
the 12,000 Block of Skyline Road in northeast Albuquerque.
That is where police arrested the couple.
According to police, the parents, Christopher Richards, 27, and Marisa Tso, 35,
had left the children in the bathtub so they could do something else.
Each is charged with negligent child abuse resulting in death, conspiracy and tampering with evidence.
Tso told police the couple locked themselves in the kids' bedroom for a reason. “There
are two different reports, one being they went into a back room to have
sex, the other that they went in the back room to party and drink,” Chief Paul Feist said.
The parents told police they tried to perform CPR on the baby but it did not work.
The child was pronounced dead at Kaseman Hospital.

Geez....they left two babies unattended in a dangerous environment to go create another one. Please... neglectful parents should be neutered and/or spayed.

An Albuquerque mother accused of leaving her baby in a bathtub where the boy drowned went before a judge Monday.
Marisa Tso, 35, made her first court appearance on Monday.
A police complaint was also released showing she was more concerned about picking up beer cans than reviving her baby. Tso didn't have much to say as the judge set her bond at $250,000 cash assurity.
The police complaint shows last Friday Tso and 27-year-old Christopher Richards left their 10-month-old and 2-year-old son in the bathtub while they were in their bedroom, reportedly either drinking or having sex.
Police said that up to two hours went by before the two-year-old boy went to his parents saying "baby." That is when Tso and Richards found the 10-month-old boy dead.
The family lived at the Sandia Ridge Apartments on the 12,000 block of Skyline Road in northeast Albuquerque.
According to the police complaint, Richards admitted he was trying to revive the baby while Tso was picking up beer cans around the apartment before police or paramedics arrived.
Richards was in court Sunday and his bond was set at $100,000 cash only.
The two-year-old child is in Children, Youth and Families Department custody.

This morning a man charged in connection with the weekend death of his infant son is on suicide watch.
Christopher Richards, 27, is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond in connection with the death of his 10-month-old son.
Police say Richards and the boy’s mother, Marissa Tso, left their 10-month-old and 2-year-old boys in the bathtub for up to two hours Friday night while they were in their bedroom – either drinking or having sex.
The 10-month-old died.
In court on Sunday, the boy’s father appeared to have other things on his mind.
“My lease is about to be up in about two months and I still have all my stuff inside the apartment,” Richards asked the judge. “How do I go about that? Like getting it all out?”
The judge said he’d have to find someone to take care of that for him.
Both parents are charged with child abuse resulting in death.
