A missing Lewis County teenager may be in the Rome area, and the state police are asking for your help in finding her.



Lowville-based troopers said 17-year-old Angela C. Shinall, of 7209
Shaver Road, Port Leyden, was last seen in the Village of Lowville on
Aug. 25. She was given a ride to the Rome area by a friend, and troopers
said she is believed to still be with her friends in either the Rome or
Herkimer areas.


Shinall is 5-foot, 5-inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. She has brown hair and browns eyes, troopers said.


Anyone with information on Shinall’s whereabouts is asked to call the state police in Lowville at 376-6241 or 315-782-2112.

State Police: Missing Lewis County teen found, back at home

LOWVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Lewis County teen who authorities had been searching for since August 25 has been found.

According to New York State Police, Angela Shinall, 17, of Port Leyden, had been seen last in the Village of Lowville and was given a ride to the Rome area by a friend. During the search, State Police said it was believed she may have been in either the Rome or Herkimer area with friends.

On Friday, September 9, State Police Shinall had returned home and is back with her family.
