TALAYJA MILLER - 14 yo - Pittsburgh PA

Pittsburgh Police are looking for leads in the case of a missing 14-year-old who told her family she was kidnapped.

Police said Talayja Miller of Burrows Street was reported missing by her family at 10:08 p.m. Saturday.

Talayja's mother said she received a text message from her daughter
that the teen was being held against her will at an unknown location.

Detectives noted that Miss Miller had run away from home earlier this year.


The girl is described as a black female, standing five feet and two
inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, and a
brown complexion. She is believed to be wearing a white tank top, black
and white striped skirt, and may have a blue jean jacket.

Miss Miller uses public transportation and may be in the downtown
area, police said. She formerly resided in the Beltzhoover area and
attends school in Homewood.

Police said a 14-year-old Hill District girl who went missing this weekend has been found and is safe.

Talayja Miller of Burrows Street was reported missing by her family
just after 10 p.m. Saturday. Her mother was concerned after receiving a
text message that her daughter was being held against her will at an
unknown location. Police said Talayja made up the story because she ran
away and didn't want to come home.

Police said the girl had a habit of running away and did so earlier this year.
