ELK GROVE, Calif. -- Elk Grove school officials are looking for a 13-year-old autistic student
who went missing from Joseph Kerr Middle School on Thursday.
Kongmong Xiong was last seen at 9:15 a.m. at the school, police said.
Xiong is described as 4 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 90 pounds, and was last
seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, police said. School officials
said the boy has limited communication skills due to his disability.School officers
and Elk Grove police are combing the area near the school looking for Xiong.Police
told KCRA 3 that a reverse 911 call asking people to help look for the
boy would be sent out within a two-mile radius of the school.
If anyone sees the boy, they are asked to call the Sacramento Sheriff's Department at 916-874-5111.
