Fake Casey Anthony Facebook confession--WPTV News 5 Palm Beaches

A scam post making the rounds on Facebook claims that you can watch a secret video confession by Casey Anthony, the woman acquitted of the murder of her two-year-old daughter Caylee in Orlando. However, there is no such video, and following the steps shown on the fake post will compromise your personal information.

Instances of the fake posting read as follows:

"BREAKING NEWS - Leaked Video of Casey Anthony CONFESSING to Lawyer!" and "Click To See - She can't be re-tried, double jeopordy (sic)... OJ all over again!"

The URL associated with the post may appear to be from ads.cnn.com, mabwoo.info, sttroll.info and a slew of others, according to various Internet users who have posted images of the fake post.

Users who click on the post are taken to a page where they are asked to confirm their age, Facebook watchdog site AllFacebook.com reports.. If you click to confirm, the scam site will gain access to your personal information. Also, the fake post will be re-posted to your Facebook wall and shared with your friends, spreading the scam. Lastly, you will be prompted to fill out surveys, which makes money for the scammers.
