RACHEL ANN BELL - 17 yo - Parkersburg WV

Rachel Ann Bell is 17 years old.

Police say she left her home in South Parkersburg on New Years Eve around 4 pm.

She said she would be back in a few minutes but never came home. She only had her cell phone with her when she left.



Rachel was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white hoodie with a black checker-board pattern, and a yellow shirt.

Detectives haven't confirmed foul play, but are concerned about the well being of Rachel.

The Parkersburg Police Department tells WTAP a missing South Parkersburg girl, Rachel Bell, has returned home.
Detective T.A. Davis says Rachel returned home unharmed around noon Saturday afternoon.

Detective Davis says during the time Rachel was missing she was contacting family and friends via text
messaging. He says the family requested an investigation to be sure she was safe.

Detective Davis says he spoke with Rachel and the
family after her return home. He says Rachel says she told him where she
was during her time missing and why she left. Detective Davis says they
plan to investigate both her claimed whereabouts and why she left.

Bell told Detective Davis she returned home after friends and family said they saw her on WTAP-News listed as missing.
