CLEVELAND, Ohio –
The Cleveland Police Department is asking for the public’s help in
finding a 16-year-old girl who has not been seen since December 16.

Police say Brittany Cordova was reported missing by her stepfather
after he went to pick her up from Rhodes High School, and she wasn’t
there. Since then, she has not been accounted for.

Brittany is described as Asian-American, 5’5″, 160 lbs., with long black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the
Cleveland Division of Police Second District Detective Bureau at (216)
623-5218.

16-year-old West Side girl missing since mid-December

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Police are asking for help to find a 16-year-old
girl who has been missing since Dec. 16, when she left Rhodes High
School before her stepfather arrived to pick her up.
According to the police report:
Brittany Cordova's stepfather, Gregory Jones, 43, of Henritze Avenue, had custody of the girl.

Jones
took Brittany to school at 7:30 a.m. She was not there when he went to
pick her up after school, so he talked to office staff, who told him
that Brittany's mother, Cheri Wyar, had told them he was not allowed to
pick her up.
Wyar, 40, of Parma, did not answer her phone this morning.

Apparently the step-father reported her missing as soon as it happened. Not sure why it's taken two months for the police to ask for help? Here is a link with picture and a tad more info (I did the bold):

CLEVELAND - Police in Cleveland need your help finding a 16-year-old from the west side of the city who has been missing since Dec. 16.

The stepfather of Brittany Cordova, 16, reported his daughter missing on Dec. 16 and still hasn't been able to find her.

Police said the stepfather dropped his daughter off at Rhodes High School that morning and when he went to pick her up, she was gone.

Authorities have checked numerous addresses where Cordova may have been, and the morgue, DH and hospital, according to the report.

The stepfather told police he had temporary custody of his stepdaughter because Cordova's mother allowed her to have a 21-year-old boyfriend.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Brittany Cordova is asked to call Cleveland police at (216) 623-5218."
