The Justice for Nevaeh committee has announced it is assembling a search team this weekend to help in the search for a Bedford teenager who was reported to have run away from home.
Volunteers are asked to gather at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday in the rear parking lot of the Monroe Moose Family Center 884, 1320 N. Macomb St. to help in the search for Summer Patience Wyatt, 15, who left her Lambertville home on Feb. 19 or 20.
The Monroe County Sheriff?s Office is investigating, but an Amber Alert was not issued because she is believed to have left home on her own free will. Deputies have previously searched the Toledo area to follow up on tips.
Summer is a white female, 5-feet-4, weighs 120 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes. She also has braces on her teeth and piercings on her ears and navel. Her clothing description is unknown.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff?s office Detective Bureau at (734) 240-7530. The runaway incident is being investigated by Detective Heath Velliquette and Deputy Jeremy Lestock.
Those who want to help the Justice for Nevaeh committee should call 419-3232.
