"Baby Jane Doe" - 9 Months/ Accused: Joshua Jones - Minneapolis MN

A Minneapolis man is facing two counts of malicious punishment of a child for alleged abuse of a 9-month-old girl.

St. Paul Police were called to Regions Hospital around 11:42 a.m.
Monday, April 2, on a report of a child abuse. The grandmother of the
9-month-old told police that her daughter, who is the mother of the
child, told the grandmother that her boyfriend, 21-year-old Joshua
Michael Jones of Minneapolis, had been abusing the child.

According to the grandmother, the mother of the child said that Jones
threatened to kill her and the child if she told anyone about the abuse.

Physicians found a contusion on the girl’s right forehead and right
temple, a bite mark on her foot, bruising around her right eye, bruising
on the left side of her head, a liver laceration, and other signs
consistent with abuse.

When police went to the apartment to arrest Jones, he resisted and
police had to use a Taser to take him into custody. The apartment is
located at 904 Rice St. in St. Paul.
While he was placed in a temporary jail cell, police say Jones began to
yell and hit his head against the wall, causing some injuries. Jones
later told police that he has not been taking his Ritalin and other
drugs for anxiety and depression but has been self-medicating with
marijuana instead.

During the investigation, Jones admitted to abusing the baby for the
last two months and that he did it because she “cries all of the time.”
He also admitted to physically abusing the baby’s mother.

Jones also admitted to dropping the child into her playpen after
punishing her for crying, picking her up by the throat, and occasionally
throwing her on the bed. He admitted to squeezing her head and said
that the bruises on her head happen when he drops her down into the
playpen.

I hope this baby is OK and some inmates slam his POS head against the wall. He needs to be put a way for a long time along with the stupid mother. I'm sick of these POS mothers allowing scumbags to abuse their babies. Idiots!
