If you want Casey Anthony coverage Thursday, the first anniversary of her acquittal, you’ll want to pass on Nancy Grace. The HLN host will not address the trial’s outcome on her show. She will, however, share her thoughts on HLNtv.com.
Jane Velez-Mitchell will devote her entire HLN show, at 7 p.m., to the Anthony case. HLN said that a former member of Anthony’s defense team “has some strong words for all the countless Casey haters out there.”
The HLN reports on Thursday will include a look at Anthony’s life, based on the latest People article; a retrospective on memorable figures from the trial and where they are now; and Jean Casarez’s update on how laws have changed since the verdict.
If you want wall-to-wall coverage Thursday, ”In Session” on truTV will supply it from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The anchors will be Casarez at 9 a.m., Vinnie Politan at 11 a.m. and Ryan Smith at 1 p.m. The scheduled guests are Cheney Mason at 10 a.m., Jeff Ashton at noon, John Morgan and Charles Greene at 2 p.m.
HLNtv.com offers comments from former prosecutor Ashton, who talks about what it felt like to lose, and defense attorney Jose Baez, who recounts the moment the verdict was revealed. Anthony was acquitted of murder in the 2008 death of her daughter, Caylee.
