Police seek help to find child endangering suspect

SPRINGFIELD — Authorities in Clark County are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted his girlfriend Wednesday while she was carrying their 3-month-old daughter.

Aaron M. Marshall, 19, is wanted for assault, child endangering and domestic violence, all first degree misdemeanors, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched shortly after noon to a domestic violence situation at a home in the 2900 block of Old Coach Drive.

The suspect’s girlfriend had run away from the home carrying the child after a phyiscal altercation; the suspect then got in a vehicle and intercepted the woman, assaulting her whle she held the baby at the intersection of Carriage and Old Coach Drive, according to the release.

Marshall allegedly grabbed the child and fled the area; his mother then returned with the child to the Old Orchard home, authorities said.

The child appeared to be unharmed and was placed with a family member. Children services was to be notified to look into the couple’s living arrangements and ongoing domestic problems.
