Gonzalez legal team reacts to new Anthony motion
Anthony's lawyers seek to ban mention of criminal trial

ORLANDO, Fla. — Casey Anthony's legal team said in a new motion that they want the judge to ban any reference to her now closed criminal cases during her upcoming civil trial.

Attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez told WESH 2 they don't plan to bring up Anthony's murder trial in court, but they do intend to call as witnesses who were part of the criminal trial to prove Anthony defamed their client.

Attorney John Dill said the witnesses include Anthony's parents and brother, Lee, plus the lead Orange County detectives in the murder case, John Allen and Yuri Melich.

Anthony is accused of telling the other witnesses that a nanny by the same name as the woman now suing her for defamation kidnapped her daughter, Caylee. Anthony later claimed Caylee died of accidental drowning in the family swimming pool.
