r down the road from their house. Her family rushed to the scene and identified the car as belonging to Kamrie.

Her family believes foul play is
involved because Kamrie has never gone more than two (2) days without
checking in on her young daughter or contacting friends and family. They
also say there has been no activity on her Facebook account which is
highly unusual.
She is 5'3" and 130 pounds with natural blonde hair (dyed brown) and blue eyes.
She has "Kamrie" tattooed on her left foot, "Grams" and a butterfly on
her wrist, and "Layla" with a footprint and Layla's date of birth on her

Man who threatened Mitchell was a suspect in missing woman case in 2009 in Alachua County
Bryant Thigpen Suwannee Democrat
Live Oak — The Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office continues their search for Kamrie Cherai Mitchell, 24, who was last seen in the Branford, Lake City area on Aug. 25 by her family.
As reported previously by the Democrat, an O’Brien man was arrested for reportedly threatening Mitchell and others the night of Aug. 25 at the residence of Mitchell’s father, Thomas J. Mitchell III, where Kamrie Mitchell was said to be that night, according to Sheriff Tony Cameron.
Andrelo Larashard Witcher, 33, of 22601 CR 49, O’Brien, was booked on charges of burglary while armed and possession of a weapon by a felon for entering the home uninvited. No injuries were reported during that incident. Witcher also faces new charges of failing to comply with the sex offender registration and failure to comply with the driver license requirement for sex offender registration for a 2003 case in Duval County.
It was learned that Witcher was a suspect in a missing woman’s case from 2009 in Alachua County, according to Lt. Todd Kelly of the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office who is one of the investigators handling that case.
Witcher became a suspect in the case involving his ex-girlfriend, Heather Ann MacCrossen, who was a former Cafe Risque dancer, according to Kelly. The last time MacCrossen’s family heard from her was in a phone call on Aug. 17, 2007 from a bus station in Gainesville. The family of MacCrossen officially reported her missing in December of that year.
“There seems to be some consistency,” Kelly said. “There’s some alarming behavior from the case here.”
It was believed that Witcher and MacCrossen had a violent relationship.
MacCrossen remains missing.
Kamrie Mitchell was reported missing by her family on Sept. 2. Cameron previously reported that Kamrie Mitchell had been known by family to disappear from time to time if she was upset, but that she always called her family to check in on her small daughter.
Her white four-door 1992 Pontiac Grand Am was found submerged in floodwaters on 184th Street, about halfway between Wellborn and the Ranchette’s area in eastern Suwannee County, near the Columbia County line on Wednesday, Sept. 5. Part of the road was still submerged in water that came from Tropical Storm Debby in late June.
Cameron said search teams have canvassed the area on foot, horseback and by sky in an attempt to locate Kamrie Mitchell. He said the search continues and includes interviews with friends and family.
Cameron said Mitchell is 5 feet 3 inches and 130 pounds. She has dyed brown hair and blues eyes. Mitchell has “Kamrie” tattooed on her left foot, “Grams” and a butterfly on her wrist and “Layla” with a footprint and a birthdate on her right side.
The Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone who has any source of information to give them a call at 386-362-2222.

Reward offered in Kamrie Mitchell case
December 31, 2012
Bryant Thigpen
Live Oak — Crime Stoppers of Suwannee County has joined efforts with local and state law enforcement in the search for missing Kamrie Cherai Mitchell “Reci” who was last seen by her family on Aug. 25. Crime Stoppers was recently contacted by the family to assist in the investigation of the disappearance of Mitchell. A $2,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the recovery of Mitchell.
Mitchell, 24, was last seen in the Branford, Lake City area. After many days with no contact, the family decided on Sept. 2 to report her missing to law enforcement.
“You might not hear from your kid every day, but not for a week and a half. She’d keep in touch. I’m very worried about my daughter,” Stefani Mitchell said.
Just three days after reporting her missing, her white four-door 1992 Pontiac Grand Am was found submerged in flood water from TS Debby on 184th Street near the Columbia County line. “Her cell phone and her purse were in the car,” she said. “That’s stuff that I can’t see my kid leaving behind. It’s out of character.”
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission assisted the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office with an aerial search of the area. Sheriff Tony Cameron said search teams have canvassed the area on foot, horseback and by sky in an attempt to locate Mitchell. He said the search continues and includes interviews with friends and family.
Cameron is concerned that there could be foul play involved since she hasn’t made contact with her family.
“Kamrie’s disappearance and circumstances surrounding it have deeply saddened this entire family,” said Mitchell’s cousin TaLesha Ashley. “Our hearts and minds have not stopped since the day we reported her missing. We are a very close family and we have pulled together in hopes that we will soon be getting some answers.”
Crime Stoppers has been working with Crime Stoppers of Alachua County in reference to the disappearance of Heather MacCrossen from that area. Officials believe the two missing cases could be linked due to one man - Andrelo Witcher, 33, of O’Brien.
It was learned that Witcher was a suspect in a missing woman’s case from 2009 in Alachua County, according to Lt. Todd Kelly of the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office who is one of the investigators handling that case. Witcher was arrested shortly after Mitchell's disappearance for reportedly threatening her and others the night of Aug. 25 at the residence of Mitchell’s father, Thomas Mitchell III. According to Cameron, it was reported that Kamrie Mitchell was at the residence during the incident.
Witcher was booked on charges of burglary while armed and possession of a weapon by a felon for entering the home uninvited. No injuries were reported during that incident. Witcher also faces new charges of failing to comply with the sex offender registration and failure to comply with the driver license requirement for sex offender registration for a 2003 case in Duval County.
MacCrossen and Mitchell remain missing.

Mitchell has “Kamrie” tattooed on her left foot, “Grams” and a butterfly on her wrist and “Layla” with a footprint and a birthdate on her right side. MacCrossen is 5 feet 7 inches and about 125 pounds. She has long brown hair with blonde highlights and brown eyes. She has a rose tattoo on her back.
