Boy, 7, 'forced to watch porn with father and ordered to have sex with his mother when he was 8'... and didn't know it was wrong until shocked foster mother told him she would not force him to have sex

A boy has revealed how his father allegedly forced him to watch porn when
he was seven years old, before the man led him upstairs when he was
eight, and demanded he have sex with his mother.

The boy, now 14,
said he did not realise the sexual encounters with his mother were
wrong until four years later when a stunned foster parent told him she
would not force him to have sex with her.

'I basically enjoyed it,' the boy said, as he testified in the trial of his parents, Robert
Caravella and Carol Ann Hann, in Luzerne County Court in Pennsylvania
this week.

His alleged abuse was discovered on August 19,
2010, when police visited their Plymouth home after child services
received a report that a youngster was living in 'deplorable'
conditions.

The couple are now on trial for charges including rape of a child, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children.

The teenager testified on Thursday that, around his seventh birthday, his
father called him over to the computer and told him to watch a video,
the Times Tribune reported.

It showed naked men and women having sex, he said, and the videos, which
he watched three times a week, were allegedly used to train him for
having sex with his mother when he turned eight.

On the boy's eighth birthday, Caravella, now 53, allegedly led his son to his mother's
bedroom and told him to have sex with her. 'He had been building me up
to it,' the boy said.

After that alleged incident, he was soon
having sex with Hann, now 45, as many as four times a week. She would
initiate it by taking off her clothes and 'I'd follow', he said.

He added that his father would even coach him on his performance during
their pornography sessions, using the films to show him how to improve
his technique, the boy claimed.

At first he hid the sexual abuse from authorities because he did not want to get his parents in trouble, he told the court.

'I felt protective over my parents,' the boy said. 'I loved them.'

Caravella is charged with conspiracy to commit rape of a child, corruption of
minors, endangering the welfare of children and distributing explicit
sexual material to minors.

In April, he was convicted on 13
charges for sexually abusing two girls between 2002 and 2005, and will
be sentenced after the current trial is complete.



Denial: The boy claims he was having sex as many as four times a week with his
mother after he turned eight and did not know it was wrong. But he

Hann is charged with rape of a child, corruption of minors, endangering the
welfare of children and incest. Both parties deny the charges and say
family members have conspired against them.

Hann said she was a
'good Christian woman' and said she had suffered a tailbone injury from a
car accident in 2007 that made it impossible for her to have sex.

After he was found, the boy said he only bathed once a month, only brushed
his teeth once a year before going to the dentist, and would walk around
naked as he didn't know he had to dress.

He was home schooled yet his parents hardly ever gave him classes, and he did not
know how to eat with a knife and fork, so ate with his hands, police said.

Police said there was overwhelming stench of cat and
human urine odor, along with fecal matter, inside the home but the boy
said he 'got used to it'.



Trial: The case is being heard at Luzerne County Court in Pennsylvania where
the jury heard the boy was living in terrible conditions with urine and
fecal matter over the floor

'It was, I can't put this nicely, a piece of crap,' the boy, who has not been identified, said of his home.

His alleged treatment made him so mad that he would take Hann's cats and
kill them, investigators said. In total, he suffocated 37 cats by
putting them in a closet and throwing things of top of them.

A few days later, he would take them out and play with them, and they would be buried in the yard, the Times Leaderreported.

'I chose the cats because they were [Hann's] favourite,' he said. 'She angered me so I would do something as revenge.'

Closing arguments in the case were scheduled for Friday morning and jurors are
expected to begin deliberating the charges this afternoon.

...this case happens to originate from the county I live in...this young man has endured horrific abuse. I was lucky enough to be in the courtroom yesterday when the jury returned with its verdicts~~GUILTY on every disgusting charge leveled against them. The DA plans to seek the minimum 10 year prison sentence on the rape conviction. The monsters were ushered back to their jail cells til they are sentenced in the New Year...

Wow. I don't like the minimum sentence though. I hope the judge gives them the max on every charge.

They are both evil and both as ugly as homemade sin as my granny says.

Carol Hann, Robert Caravella Convicted of Child Sex Abuse

WILKES-BARRE — The jury did get the final word and today that word
was guilty. They convicted both Robert Caravella and Carol Hann of child
sex abuse, a total of 13 charges, including rape for Carol Hann.

As Carol Hann left Luzerne County Court, she proclaimed her
innocence, denying she ever raped a 12-year-old boy at her home in
Plymouth.

”Do you have anything to say?” Newswatch 16 asked.

“It is finished. I’m dying so I win. I’m innocent. I’ve been framed,” said Hann.

Hann was convicted of rape and several other child sex abuse charges.
Her husband Robert Caravella was also found guilty of child sex abuse,
convictions that lawyers said wouldn’t have been handed down if it
weren’t for the 14-year-old boy who took the stand in court.

The boy detailed years of sex abuse, testifying that Robert Caravella
showed him pornography when he was only seven years old. He also said
Caravella forced him to have sex with Carol Hann starting on his eighth
birthday. Their sexual relationship, he says, continued until he was 12.

During his disturbing testimony, the teenager said he didn’t know
that what was happening was wrong. Assistant District Attorney Jenny
Roberts said the boy was embarrassed about that and nervous to testify.

”Now he realizes everything that he’s been through. He’s still
obviously receiving a lot of therapy and treatment, so hopefully with
the verdict, he can put this behind him and move on and it’ll help with
his therapy,” said Roberts.

Roberts said the boy lives with a foster family and sees several
doctors and therapists. She said this case was one of the most
disturbing she’s ever tried.

”The details of the case and the evidence that was uncovered was
probably one of the most disturbing cases that i personally have dealt
with, the detectives have dealt with regarding child abuse cases and
neglect,” said Roberts.

Hann faces 10 to 40 years in prison on the rape charge alone. Caravella also has previous sex abuse convictions.
