Statewide Amber Alert issued for Houston teen believed to have been abducted by former neighbor

Authorities issued a statewide Amber Alert for a 14-year-old girl who
was taken from her suburban Houston home Tuesday afternoon.

Haylie White is believed to be with 33-year-old Jacob West, a former
neighbor who’s suspected of taking her from her home in Cypress.

West is believed to be driving a silver 2005 GMC Envoy with Texas license plate AT4-2794.

KENS-TV in San Antonio says the teen’s parents told West to stay away from her, but he refused.

Haylie is 5 feet tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has short brown hair
and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a tie-dyed shirt and blue
jeans. West is white, 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds with short brown hair and
brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or contact local authorities.

Amber Alert: Haylie White in Grave Danger

Authorities are seeking Haylie White, 14, and her alleged kidnapper Jacob West who is believed to have snatched the girl from her home on Tuesday. It's been several hours and the duo still haven't been found as fears for her well-being increase. Officials believe the missing teen is in danger of being injured or killed, but there aren't many details as to why they would feel this way.



It appears that 33-year-old Jacob West allegedly kidnapped the 14-year-old girl, and the Texas Amber Alert is still in effect as of 11:07 p.m., 1/22/2013. Jacob West owns two vehicles, so there is no telling how or where they've traveled by now.

If Haylie White is in grave danger, then the odds of finding her alive become slimmer with each hour that passes. However, there aren't enough details being released to convey the urgency in this case. Do officials truly believe this young girl was kidnapped by a grown man? What exactly leads them to believe that she might be killed? This is just a distressing case with not enough details. Hopefully officials can answer some questions soon.

An Amber Alert was issued for Haylie White after she jumped in a silver SUV with another man in front of a home where she was staying

Police are searching for a 14-year-old Texas girl and the 33-year-old man that family members believe she ran off with on Tuesday.

Dana Nixon, who said the girl had been under his care, believes the man who took Haylie is a former neighbor of hers, 33-year-old Jacob West.

'At one point she walked outside, he pulled up and told her to run,' Nixon told Click2Houston.com.

'She hopped in the car with him and they're gone,' he added.

Nixon said the teen was in his care when she disappeared. He said she was living with his family in a 'foster-type situation.'

'She basically, I think, has feelings for the gentleman and doesn't understand how inappropriate it is,' Nixon said of Haylie's relationship with West.

Police believe West and the girl are traveling in a 2005 GMC Envoy with Texas license plates.

Haylie is described as five feet tall and 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a tie-dye shirt and blue jeans.

Sounds like the pedophile seduced this child. He is more than two and a third times her age.

He needs a few decades in prison to change his predilections.

Amber Alert Extended to Corpus Christi for Missing Houston Girl

CORPUS CHRISTI - An Amber Alert issued for a missing 14-year-old girl from Houston has been extended to the Coastal Bend.

According to police, 33-year-old Jacob West abducted 14-year-old Haylie White from her home in Cypress, Texas on Tuesday afternoon.

West is White's nex door neighbor. Her grandmother told CBS affiliate KHOU that the girl was known to climb out of her window to go visit West.

Charges of sexual assault are pending against West in regards to his relationship with the teen.

West is known to camp on beaches near Corpus Christi. He also has family in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He was last known to be driving a silver 2005 GMC Envoy with Texas license plate AT42794.

West is 33-years-old, 6'2" tall, weighing 220 lbs with short brown hair and brown eyes.

The girl is 14-years-old, 5' tall, 120 lbs., with short brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a tye-dyed short and blue jeans.

If you see either of these individuals, call police immediately.

Amber Alert canceled: 14-year-old abducted from Cypress found in Florida

HOUSTON – Authorities found the 14-year-old girl who was abducted
from Cypress on January 22 in Florida Monday and arrested the
33-year-old man accused of taking her.

An Amber Alert was issued for the girl last Tuesday after she
disappeared with Jacob West. Authorities said she was walking with a
family member that afternoon when West drove up in a silver GMC Envoy
and she hopped in.

West drove away with the teen, leaving family members to fear the worst.

Family members suspected West, her former neighbor, and the teen were
having an inappropriate relationship and ordered him to stay away from
her. Her parents moved the teen with her uncle just to get her away from
the man, but that still did not work.

Authorities say West continued to pursue the girl until the two eventually ran off together.

The girl’s mother was glad to hear that her child was found.

“I started crying, I was excited, I can’t wait to go get my baby,” she said.

The woman said she recently found out the pair were involved in a
relationship, but she said it didn’t start out that way, when West and
his family moved in next door.

“We were friends, and he treated her like a daughter at first; he’s
got two kids of his own, he treated her like a daughter,” she said.

A week before the Amber Alert went out the girl’s grandmother called
police when she disappeared the first time. A Harris County Sheriff’s
deputy found the pair and West confessed to having sex with the girl,
the mother said.

“The officers had a confession—why he didn’t go to jail that day? I have no idea,” she said.

But when West’s wife kicked him out of their home the girl’s family
let him stay with them. And that’s when the girl and West left.

“We didn’t see it and he more or less conned us,” she said.

The focus now, the girl’s mom said, is to pick up her daughter in Florida and bring her home.

Right now, the girl’s family is making arrangements with the FBI to get to Florida.

West has been charged with sexual assault of a child, but more charges could follow.

That is one dumb, incompetent PD and an even dumber mother -if all this true. The guy's wife had enough common sense to kick him out of the house (since the police didn't keep him), yet the mother of the teenage girl who has been molested lets him move into their home. This is a case where imo the mother should be charged as well for endangering a minor - or something. Dumb.
