Casper man gets 25-30 years in prison after abusing three children

Isaac Enokson
A Casper man was sentenced to 25-30 years in prison on Wednesday for the first-degree sexual abuse of three children on multiple occasions last summer.
Isaac Enokson, 25, was originallycharged with five counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of second-degree sexual abuse, but three of those charges were dismissed as part of a plea deal entered late last year.
Enokson was convicted on three counts for abusing three different girls, two born in 2009 and one born in 2005, throughout June and July last year. Police said the man assaulted them in multiple locations throughout the Casper area, including in his home and their home.
He had no previous criminal history, but defense attorney Tim Cotton said Enokson himself had been abused as a child and had never received proper treatment following that assault.
“It was never properly dealt with,” Cotton said. “And now a victim is a defendant.”
When asked by Judge Daniel Forgey if he had anything to say prior to sentencing, Enokson said, “No, sir.”
According to Wyoming law, a first conviction of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor is punishable by no less than 25 and no more than 50 years in prison. Each received the same punishment, and Enokson’s three prison sentences will be served concurrently.
