Teens accused of pimping, exploiting 14-year-old

ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. -- The Georgia Bureau of Investigation tells WSB Channel 2 Action News it's arrested two teen girls for sexually exploiting a 14-year-old girl.

Conyers police told Channel 2 investigative reporter Mark Winne they got involved after the young victim allegedly had sex with customers at the Motel 6 and America's Best Value Inn & suites near West Avenue and Interstate 20.

A sergeant told Winne the young woman estimated some nights she was made to have sex with 15 or more men at various places in metro Atlanta.

"It's hard to believe someone would do that to a child, let alone it was two females that were taking her to these hotel rooms," Conyers Police Sgt. K.D. Moore told Winne.

Two teens themselves, the GBI said Essence Archie, 18, and Jadaisha Jackson, 19, victimized a child, subjecting a 14-year-old girl to sex with men at a variety of locations.

"Jadaisha Jackson and Essence Archie have both been arrested for basically child sex trafficking," said GBI Sgt. Sherry Lang.

Lang says the two suspects allegedly drugged the 14-year-old, a runaway and supposed friend of Archie's, using over-the-counter cough medicine, then went online to line up johns.

"Essence and Judaica got together and they set up a tagged account and people started calling in and basically they made arrangements for adults to have sex with the victim," Lang said.

"How did the case get started?" Winne asked Moore.

"We received a call from a caseworker at (Children's Health Care at) Egleston," Moore replied.

Moore said she made the call to bring in human trafficking experts attached to the GBI's child exploitation and computer crimes unit when she realized the crimes may have taken place in several jurisdictions.

"I've been a police officer for about five years now, and this is unlike anything I've ever dealt with," Moore told Winne.

The charges against Jackson include trafficking of persons for labor or sexual servitude.

The charges against Archie include trafficking of persons for labor or sexual servitude, aggravated child molestation and pimping.

Mom speaks out about daughter allegedly pimped out by teens

ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. —
The mother of a 14-year-old victim in a pimping investigation is advising other parents to be nosy.

The two girls accused of pimping the teen were scheduled for their first court appearance Wednesday morning, but elected to waive their preliminary hearing.

Jadaisha Jackson is accused of being party to the crime of sex trafficking. Co-defendant Essence Archie is charged with trafficking of persons for labor or sexual servitude, aggravated child molestation and pimping.

The GBI said Archie and Jackson are accused in connection with selling sex with a 14-year-old girl.

A sergeant told Channel 2 investigative reporter Mark Winne the young woman estimated some nights she was made to have sex with 15 or more men at various places in metro Atlanta.

Winne spoke to the victim's mother by phone Wednesday.

"I was, I guess, shocked," she said, adding that she was "in denial."

That was at first, and then she said she had no doubt now what happened. The mother said she knew Archie, who had been in her family's home.

"I'm really hurt all around that they would do this to my daughter," the mother told Winne.

Her advice to other parents: Be nosy. Be aware and as nosy as you can be with your child.

"Just monitor their social media, monitor their phone activity and their friends very closely," said Conyers Police Department Sgt. K.D. Moore.

The mom told Winne she's praying a lot and her daughter is returning to church.

A spokeswoman for the GBI emailed Winne a statement saying cases like this are a priority for the GBI.

"As part of our investigations we will attempt to identify those involved in the trafficking of minors so they can be charged.  We will also attempt to identify the individuals who have engaged in sexual acts with the minors and charge them as appropriate," the statement said.

Archie and Jackson remain in the Rockdale County Jail.
