Father charged with capital murder in infant's death

MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - A Madison County man has been arrested and charged in the death of his baby.
Investigators said the father, 26-year-old Sergino Larenta Richard, was the cause of "external force" that resulted in the infant's death.
On Saturday, July 12, the infant was taken to Madison Hospital. Investigators said the baby was already dead on arrival.
Madison County Sheriff's Office was called to the hospital for a death investigation. After an autopsy, it was determined that the infant's death was caused by external force.
Investigators determined that the father caused the infant's death.
Richard was charged with capital murder and is being held in Metro Jail without bond.
