Casey Anthony interview: Cheney Mason doubts report

What about that report that Casey Anthony is about to do a big sit-down interview?

I turned to Cheney Mason, her attorney and supporter, for insight.

His office on Monday said that Mason seriously doubts the report, but he has no knowledge about it.

TMZ.com has reported that Anthony flew to New York on Thursday and was ready to do an interview. TMZ offered no details about which outlet might land that interview, when it might air or if she would be paid, but TMZ said "she's about to appear on TV for her first sit-down."

In July 2011, Anthony was acquitted of murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

The TMZ report raises other questions:

Do people want to hear from her or is she old news?

Would people who followed the case trust anything she had to say?

Would viewers be outraged if she is paid or do they still care about that issue?
