Clark County sheriff's deputies are searching for a 2-month-old baby
taken by his biological parents in violation of a court order.
Shondra
L. Christiansen, 20, and Nicholas L. Christiansen, 24, reportedly fled
with their son, Andrew Donavyn Christiansen, from their apartment at
some point this week, deputies said. They had been ordered to turn
their son over to protective custody because of a domestic violence
incident and Sondra Christiansen's history of drug abuse, said Clark
County sheriff's Sgt. Scott Schanaker.
"Investigators are very concerned about the welfare of the child," the bulletin said.
Schanaker
said the domestic violence allegations didn't involve the baby, and
investigators aren't worried the father will deliberately harm the
child.
The Christiansens are believed to be in Lane County,
Oregon. On Wednesday, Shondra Christiansen was arrested by Springfield
police on suspicion of violating her probation for convictions of
possession of methamphetamine and providing false information. She is
being held without bail in the Lane County Jail.
The baby wasn't
with her, and Shondra Christiansen wouldn't tell police where he was,
Schanaker said. Investigators believe Nicholas Christiansen and the
baby are still in the Springfield area, and Clark County authorities
are preparing arrest warrants for the Christiansens alleging custodial
interference.
According to court documents, Nicholas
Christiansen was scheduled to go to trial next week in Clark County
District Court on one count of fourth-degree assault domestic violence.
He allegedly assaulted Shondra Christiansen on March 17, but no details of the incident were available in the court file.
Shondra Christiansen was served with a subpoena to testify in court.
At
the time of his arrest, Christiansen was living in the Park Place
Condominiums on Northeast 43rd Street in the VanMall neighborhood.
There was to be no contact between him and Shondra Christiansen pending
trial, and he said he'd be living in a different condominium in the
same complex.
Nicholas Christiansen is described as white, 5 foot 7 inches, with blue eyes and brown hair.
Anyone with information should call the Clark County Sheriff's Office tip line at 1-877-274-6311.

VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Clark County sheriff's deputies said Friday they're "very concerned" about the welfare of a missing 2-month-old child.
Andrew Christiansen was taken by his biological parents in the Vancouver area
sometime after Sunday, but deputies said a court order mandates that
Child Protective Services take the baby boy from his parents and place
him into protective custody. On Wednesday, police arrested the
mother, Shondra Christiansen, in Springfield. The child was not with
her at the time of her arrest and she is not cooperating with
investigators, said Sgt. Scott Schanaker in a sheriff's office news
release.Deputies said they're trying to track down the father,
24-year-old Nicholas Christiansen. It's believed that he and the child
are somewhere in the Eugene and Springfield area.
The court order that aims to take the baby boy into protective custody
stems from concerns over the living environment at the Christiansen
home, deputies said. Authorities also said there have been previous
domestic violence issues between the Christiansens at their house.Shondra
Christiansen remains in the Lane County Jail. Anyone with information
on the location of Nicholas and Andrew Christiansen is asked to call
1-877-274-6311.Nicholas Christiansen is described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 190 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.Andrew Christiansen has blue eyes and brown hair.

Sheriff’s
deputies in Washington are searching for a 2-month-old child who was
taken by his biological parents on Sunday and may be in the Lane County
area.
The infant boy, Andrew Christiansen,
was taken in violation of a court order putting the child into
protective custody. The order was issued based on past incidents of
domestic violence, a Clark County Sheriff’s Office report said, and
investigators are “very concerned” about the baby’s welfare.
The boy’s mother, 20-year-old Shondra
Lou Christiansen, was arrested Wednesday in Springfield on unrelated
warrants charging her with violating probation from previous
convictions for possession of methamphetamine and giving false
information to police. The baby was not with her when she was arrested,
and a Clark County report said she is not cooperating with
investigators looking for the child.
The boy’s father is 24-year-old
Nicholas Christiansen. He is described as a white male, 5 feet 7 inches
tall, 190 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Andrew Christiansen was born May 12 and
has blue eyes and brown hair. The boy and his father are believed to be
in the Eugene-Springfield area.
Anyone with information on the baby or his father are asked to call
the Clark County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 1-877-274-6311.
