Artesia police are searching for a runaway Artesia girl who may be in the company of a wanted Artesia man.

Lindsey Johnson, 17, was last seen by her mother Aug. 14. She is
believed to be with Fabian "Chapo" Ochoa, 26, who is wanted by Artesia
police on various charges, including stealing a vehicle and possession
of drugs with intent to distribute them. He is also wanted in
Carlsbad and Roswell for similar crimes, according to Artesia Police
Department spokesman Sgt. Lindell Smith.

Johnson is described as
5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 125 pounds with brown hair, usually
worn in a bun, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a
green and red shirt and red sandals. The pair may be in a black Isuzu Rodeo with chrome rims, Smith said. Ochoa is known to be armed and has made threatening remarks toward law enforcement, he said.He is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. When
his head is not shaved he has dark hair, and his eyes are brown."He should be considered very dangerous," said Smith. "If citizens see
Ochoa and Johnson together, they should not be approached. Law
enforcement should be contacted immediately." Anyone with

She is believed to be in the company of Fabian “Chapo” Ochoa who is wanted by Artesia police and several other surrounding cities for crimes ranging from stealing vehicles to drug offenses.
“They may be in a black Isuzu Rodeo vehicle with chrome rims,” Smith stated. “She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green and red shirt and red sandals.”
Smith said if anyone sees Ochoa and Johnson together, they should not approach the couple, but rather should contact law enforcement immediately.
