GRACIE TRENTHAM - 3 yo (2009)/ Charged: David Hammer - Chattanooga TN

15-year old David Hammer was supposed to go on trial on Monday for the murder of a young girl.
But he didn't.
Hammer was accused of raping and killing a three year old girl who lived in his house back in April.
An autopsy found she died of extensive trauma to her neck and head.
But today prosecutors dropped all charges against the youth.
They said they were "without proof" right now.. But could re-file charges at a later date.

We have an update on the 14-year old charged with raping and murdering a child.
David Hammer was arrested April 23 and charged in the aggravated rape
and murder of a three year old little girl... a non-relative who lived
in his home.
District Attorney's requested Hammer be tried as an adult due to the graphic nature of the crime.
But on Friday, Judge Suzanne Bailey ruled that won't happen.
The Judge found Hammer may not understand the consequences of his actions.
His will remain in the Juvenile Detention Center until his case is settled
But he didn't.
