I thought you knew there was indeed a suicide at the gun range, I read the article.  The deceased was not named.  However, I would think that if it were Raisa that information would have been released to the public by now.

Authorities are investigating after a woman dies following an incident at Revere Gun Range in Pompano Beach. (Published Friday, Mar 13, 2015)

Authorities in Broward County are investigating after a woman died in a shooting at a gun range in Pompano Beach Friday.

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue crews were called to the scene at the Revere Gun Range located at 601 Northeast 28th Street in Pompano Beach.

Fire rescue crews airlifted the woman to North Broward in critical condition where she later died.

The victim has not yet been identified by police.

Authorities have not yet determined the circumstances of the shooting.

I e-mailed a reporting news site to see if they had a name and manner of death or any follow-up information to verify Pain's assertions here on our blog..   Pain has not posted any additional supporting evidence and the articles I read did not specifically say suicide.    The reports said someone died by gunshot, but not how exactly (ie accident, suicide, murder).   The news source confirmed it was suicide, but didn't know who died and referred me to law enforcement officials for more information.   I stopped at that point as I can imagine how busy they are on a daily basis and figured the truth with come out in time.   It does seem like if it were Raisa that something would be reported on by now.

I am her family, I know...it's not out yet, but I am confirming.
I did a few Google searches and stumbled on this website and saw the long history of her interacting with everyone on this site.

Oddly, Florida municipality has not released her name. Not sure why? I don't live in the state.

Heartbreaking that she was attacked/humiliated the way she was on here...but that's the internet. The mask and ambiguity provide's people the opportunity to behave at their worst.

I thought I'd do everyone the favor and provide closure to the entire situation with the exception of our family.

Woman who gave her child Lunesta charged with manslaughter – commits suicide

A Parkland woman facing manslaughter charges in the 2009 death of her 4-year-old son committed suicide in March, police records obtained this week show.


Raisa Bernabe, 48, shot herself in the chest at a gun range in Pompano Beach on March 13, according to a Broward Sheriff's Office report.

Bernabe had a scheduled court date Wednesday, but it was cancelled when attorneys learned of her death.

The Broward Medical Examiner's Office ruled that Bernabe's son, Nicholas Odze, 4, died in September 2009 from an overdose of eszopiclone, a prescription sleep aid sold under the brand name Lunesta. An autopsy showed the boy had also ingested ibuprofen, oxycodone and oxymorphone.

Bernabe told investigators before her arrest that Nicholas had trouble sleeping for two nights before the night she gave him a Lunesta pill.

Mental illness was a factor in her defense during pre-trial hearings.

Prosecutors and defense lawyers had been trying to resolve the case by plea at the time of her death.

Someone in the news department probably started looking for information when they saw that court date was canceled and then they discovered the "why" part...  it might have flown under the radar if the police didn't release her name after the suicide occurred. They might have still considered it "under investigation" if they were waiting on a tox screen.

Stuff I don't know about...hmmm funny! No I admit that I do not know what went on in that home but 60+ bottles of pills around the house and more than Lunesta in that poor boys body says enough. I do know what kind of person Alan is and it isn't pretty. I won't repeat all of my previous comments about Alan because it is not worth my time. I have no sorrow for Alan's illness. When I last saw him he was able bodied and collecting 2 pensions and even one of the bloggers said he was driving around in a big Escalade...whatever... We reap what we sow, Karma...call it what you will. He suffers because of much more of what he has done in the past and how wrong he has done to people. Go ahead defend him, praise him for his service for his time with the police but he was as dirty as they come. Although, Raisa was so upset with the things I had said about him and yet I am saddened to have heard the news recently of her passing. I knew of Raisa, have seen Raisa but did not know her personally however, knowing Alan I can only imagine this poor woman was taken by this man and in the end not only their child suffer but I still feel she did too. Maybe she felt there was no way out and with him probably making her life miserable in and out of jail she felt there was not an alternative. I still in my heart feel a lot more went down, knowing his character. There are bloggers that feel he should have been charged or looked at more carefully and yes they are right. They are also right to think that things got swept because of his previous status with a policing agency. Don't underestimate this guy he is a master manipulator to say the least.

So, now justice for this boy never gets served. Raisa takes all the information with her and Alan sits. I do know that judgement day will come.
