According to our partners at The Hamilton Journal News, Hamilton Police
are no longer looking for James Rogers in connection with Jenna Simone.
Officers say 15 year old Jenna Simone of Hamilton left her home on Tuesday and never returned.
Jenna's
mother believes she may be with James Patrick Rogers, a 34 year old
white male. Police say they have located James Rogers and no longer
believe Simone is with the man.
Rogers has a lengthy criminal
history. He has three stints in the Ohio Department of Corrections
under his belt. Rogers was jailed for four years, from 1998 to 2002 for
escape and attempted aggravated burglary. He went back to jail
in January 2003 for attempted escape and attempted aggravated burglary,
but was released nine months later.
In 2005, Rogers spent
another year in prison on possession of drugs and attempted aggravated
burglary charges. And then in January of 2008, he was sent to prison
for attempted firearms in a motor vehicle, attempted failure to comply,
and aggravated burglary. He was just released on September 27th.
Butler
County records also show that Rogers has an open case for tampering
with evidence. He was released on his own recognizance in that case on
Wednesday.
Police are still searching for 15 year old Jenna Simone.
Simone is believed to be in the Hamilton area. Jenna is described as 5'2" tall 140 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes.
