JONATHAN CABRAL - 15 yo - Milford MA
Police and family were asking for help yesterday finding a 15-year-old Milford boy who has been missing since Tuesday.
Jonathan Cabral, a freshman at Milford High School, was last seen at
school. Police say he was involved in an incident at school and shoved
a security guard and fled.
The teen's dad, David Cabral, said he is desperate to find his son and is asking for the public's help.
"I've done everything," he said yesterday. "I've got fliers on telephone poles, I've done everything that I can."
Police Chief Thomas O'Loughlin said his detectives and school
resource officers are working the case. They believe Cabral is in
Milford with a friend, although he is known to sometimes go to
Marlborough.
"We'd like to just make sure that he's safe and he's OK, and ... connect him with his parents," the chief said.
David Cabral said his son, who goes by Jon, didn't have his coat or cell phone with him when he ran off.
He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and sky-blue sneakers.
Jonathan is 5-foot 3, 105 pounds and has blue eyes and light brown hair.
"We have his pictures, and a number of the officers know him on sight," the chief said.
O'Loughlin said police immediately entered Jonathan into the system
as a missing person after he ran off. The boy has been suspended from
school.
O'Loughlin said Jonathan is being charged with disrupting a school assembly and assault and battery.
David Cabral said he has full custody of his son, and he and Jonathan's mother have been talking to police.
Cabral said he has made countless calls and talked to state Department of Children and Family Services and a counselor.
Anyone with information on Jonathan's whereabouts is urged to call
David Cabral at 774-242-9388 or Milford Police at 508-473-1113.

Re: JONATHAN CABRAL - 15 yo - Milford MA
A 15-year-old Milford boy who has been missing since Tuesday was found Saturday.
Jonathan Cabral, a Milford High School freshman, ran off to his
20-year-old sister's apartment in Framingham after police say he was
involved in an incident at school and shoved a security guard.
David Cabral, Jonathan's father, said his son feared the consequences of his actions and fled.
Police are charging Jonathan Cabral with assault and battery and
disrupting a school assembly. The boy has been suspended from school.
Cabral said he discovered his son's whereabouts when he called
Jonathan's sister, Melissa Woodsum, and said he knew Jonathan was at
her apartment.
David Cabral said Woodsum is not his daughter and he has only spoken to her a few times before.
"I didn't know if he was there, but she admitted he was," Cabral said. "He knows he's in trouble."
Cabral, who has full custody of his son, said he is glad Jonathan is
safe, but is upset he ran off. He is also upset at his son's sister for
hiding him.
His son is sorry he fled, Cabral said.
"I was worried sick, I couldn't sleep," he said. "It was a long four or five days."
Jonathan must now face the charges, his father said.
"It was not a very smart thing that he did," he said.
Jonathan Cabral had been last seen at school Tuesday. Detectives
originally thought Jonathan could be in Milford with a friend or in
Marlborough. Jonathan did not have his coat or cell phone with him when
he ran off, Cabral said.
"I'm glad he's OK, but I'm still upset," he said.
