SONA KAMARA and 4 month old Twin daughters - 17 yo - Manassas VA

A 17-year-old mother and her two babies disappeared Sunday from a Manassas foster home.

Sona Kamara did not have permission to take her two 4-month-old twin
daughters and leave the Calvary Counseling Center Group Home at 9533
School St., police said.

She left about midnight Sunday, said Manassas police spokesman Sgt. Tim Neumann.

Kamara has a history of running away from the home and is a ward of
the state. It’s not clear if the teen has clothing for the babies, said
Neumann.

“We are hoping that she is still in the area, though we don’t know
for sure,” said Neumann. “We are working to find what friends she had
in the area, and we are more concerned that she is indoors and out from
the cold, taking care of her kids.”

In September she left the foster home, but returned the same day, said Neumann.

Kamara is described as black, 5 feet 5 inches tall, brown eyes,
black hair, weighing 145 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black and
green sweatshirt, with black sweatpants.

MANASSAS, Va.—A missing 17-year-old
mother and her two 4-month-old daughters were reported found in good
condition Friday morning.



Police have not released where the mother was found.



Sona Kamara, 17, ran away from a Manassas foster home Sunday with the two children, police said.



Police were concerned about the welfare of the mother and of her
children because of record cold weather. Investigators were trying to
develop leads about any friends Kamara could have in the Manassas area,
while hoping the children were being kept warm, said Manassas police
spokesman Sgt. Tim Neumann earlier this week.



Kamara has a history of running away from the Calvary Counseling
Center on School Street in Manassas. Last year, she ran away but came
back the same day, police said.
