BENNINGTON -- Police are seeking information about a pair of sisters reported missing Thursday.
Kasey C. Bezio, 16, and Kayla L. Bezio, 17, were last seen on Benmont Avenue, according to the Vermont State Police.
Sgt. Helaine Gaiotti said Friday that the pair were dropped off
around 5 p.m. in Bennington by their mother, Kelly Jarvis of
Shaftsbury, with the understanding that they were going to visit their
father, Bernard Bezio. Gaiotti said that their father reported not
being aware of any visiting arrangements and never saw either of his
children.
Gaiotti said that neither Kasey nor Kayla had access to a vehicle or money.
Kayla Bezio is described as being five feet seven inches tall
and weighing 140 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She has braces
and a pierced nose.
Kasey Bezio is five feet six inches tall, weighs 130 pounds, has blue eyes and blond hair.
Police said that anyone the two may currently be staying with
can be cited with sheltering/harboring under Vermont statutes. They are
urged to contact the state police at the Shaftsbury barracks, 442-5421.

BENNINGTON -- Two Shaftsbury sisters that were
reported missing Jan. 7 turned themselves in at the Bennington Police
Department around 10 a.m. Saturday.
Kayla L. Bezio, 16 and Kasey C. Bezio, 16, told police "they
were wandering around Bennington the entire time they were gone,"
according to a press release from Vermont State Police.
Police said the claim the girls were actually "missing" is
being heavily questioned by police and the fact the girls were found
clean, dry and healthy lead police to believe they were being harbored
by friends or family members.
During questioning, police said neither girl would give any
additional information about their whereabouts over the previous two
days.
State Police announced Friday the girls were reported missing
and had last been seen Thursday on Benmont Avenue. Police said the
girls had been reported missing after their mother, Kelly Jarvis of
Shaftsbury, dropped them off around 5 p.m. in Bennington with the
understanding they were going to visit their father, Bernard Bezio.
The girls’ father had told police he was unaware of any visiting arrangement and never saw either of his children, police said.
Police have said anyone the two may have been staying with could
be cited with sheltering/harboring under Vermont statutes, although at
this time no charges have been filed.
