Authorities are looking for a 17-year-old Lemont girl who has been missing since Friday.
Elsa Rios was supposed to visit a friend after school, but sent a
text message to that friend's parents, informing them she could not
make it, according to a release from the Cook County Sheriff's Police.
When Rios' parents came home around 11:30 p.m., she was not home and
she wasn't with her friends from school. She has had no contact with
family or friends for the last 24 hours, police said.
Rios is described as 5-foot-6, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Cook County Sheriff's Police investigations section at 708-865-4896.

A Lemont teen reported missing by her parents a week ago was found safe Friday afternoon on the West Coast.
Elsa Rios, 17, who was reporting missing Jan. 22, was found in Seattle, Wash., the Cook County sheriff's office said.
Sheriff's police were alerted by Seattle authorities that Rios had
turned herself in to them early Friday afternoon, the sheriff's office
said.
Rios traveled to the Seattle area with some acquaintances, then
showed up at the Seattle police station after speaking with her parents
and realizing she was the subject of a nationwide missing-persons
alert, the sheriff's office said.
Rios' parents will be responsible for arranging her travel home, the sheriff's office said.
