Orlando Police Search For Missing Girl

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Police in Orlando are searching for a missing 1 year old girl. Investigators say 1 year old ************** was under the custody of the Department of Children and Families when her 16 year old mother, ***********, took her.

******* was last seen January 25th. The Orlando Police Department said they were not told about the child's disappearance for a month, but they don't know why it took so long for DCF to notify them about the abduction.

********** has a medical condition which can be serious, requiring medication and breathing treatments.

Anyone with information is asked to call Orlando Police.

Police need help finding a teen mother and her 1-year-old child.
   
Police said *****************, 16, took **************** and ran away. Both are under DCF custody. There is currently an active pickup order.
   
The child has a medical condition that was treated before she was
allegedly taken by her mother. However, officials said the condition

Orlando police said this afternoon that they had found a child and her teenage mother who had been missing since January.Police found the two at the Intown Suites Hotel on South Orange Blossom Trail just after 3 p.m. today.***************, 16, took her daughter,************, 1, from the custody of the Department of Children and Families on Jan. 25.************

************** has been arrested and taken to a juvenile assessment center. Officials had been worried about the two because *************** suffers from a medical condition that can require breathing treatments.

This is an outrageous failure of DCF, IMO.

Who impregnated the 16 year-old mom, and why wasn't the 16 year-old being helped?

DCF steps in and steals the baby, as is their MO, from someone who needed help from them.

Instead of protecting BOTH children, DCF steals a baby and revictimizes the minor mother.

The fact that the minor mom had a history of drug use and theft, and then winds up pregnant (possibly at age 15) should have been a clear indication that someone was abusing the teen.

Where was DCF?
