ENID — Enid police are seeking information about the whereabouts of a teen reported missing in December,

Detective Nick John said 16-year-old Sayre Krannawitter was last seen
Jan. 23 in the area of 1214 Wallace and is believed to be in the Enid
area.

Krannawitter, who also goes by the names Sara Mendez and Sara Gutierrez, left home Dec. 8, 2009, on foot.

She is described as 5-feet, 8-inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds, with black hair and blonde highlights.

Anyone with information about the girl’s whereabouts is asked to
contact John at 242-7000 or call Garfield County Crime Stoppers at
233-6233.

Officials find missing teenager

ENID — Enid police have found a teen who had been missing since
December.

Sayre Krannawitter, 16, was found Friday hiding in a residence by Enid
Police Department Detective Nick John.

According to EPD Detective Dustin Albright, Krannawitter was arrested
Friday morning for running away.

“The arrest took place March 5 at 10:58. It was a friend’s house,”
Albright said. “Nick John has been investigating this report for some
time, he was persistent and able to locate her.”

In conjunction with Krannawitter’s arrest, an Enid man also was
arrested.

“Roberto Mendez Jr., 18, of Enid, was arrested at 824 E. Chestnut for
obstructing an officer,” Albright said.

Krannawitter left home Dec. 8 on foot. Before being found, she had last
been seen Jan. 23 in the area of 1214 Wallace, John said.
