The Pensacola woman who was attacked and set on fire
last month has died.
Two women and a 16-year-old girl suspected in the attack were charged with murder Friday
afternoon. Audreanna R. Zimmerman, 19, of the 900 block of Detroit Boulevard died Thursday
evening at the University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile.

Escambia investigators and the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force on Friday
tracked down the three suspects: Tina L. Brown, 39; Heather T. Lee, 27;
and Britnee A. Miller, 16. They were taken into custody in the Lincoln
Park subdivision without incident. The three women are at Escambia County Jail. They are
scheduled to appear in court via video sometime today.Sheriff's Office investigators believe an ongoing
feud among the four women was the motive behind the attack, Sheriff's
Office spokesman Sgt. Ted Roy said."They would fight and become friends and fight again,"
he said. The specifics of how the feud began were not released, but Sheriff's Office
investigator Tom Watts said it started about four months ago, shortly
after Zimmerman moved into the same Detroit Boulevard trailer park where
the suspects live.Zimmerman told investigators she was burned shortly before 9:30 p.m. March 24,
and that an accelerant was used, the Sheriff's Office said. She was
found in the 1800 block of Lepley Road in Ensley, less than two miles
from her Detroit Boulevard residence. She had second- and third-degree
burns covering 60 percent of her body."The victim gave us their names and the lots they
lived in before (paramedics) put her in a medically induced coma," Watts
said. Zimmerman never regained consciousness, Watts said. While investigators had
probable cause to arrest the suspects the night of the attack, Watts
said investigators waited until Zimmerman's death so the suspects could
be charged with murder."If we would have arrested them that night for attempted murder, they would
have had the option to plead out on those charges; and we couldn't come
back with a murder charge," Watts said of the suspects. "We were
building a stronger case against them."

Audreanna Zimmerman, Teen Mother of 2, Burned to Death in Trailer Park Feud
By Pete Kotz in Bad Moms, arson, assault, homicide

The girls knew each other. They lived in the same trailer park in Pensacola, Florida. But one day they'd be the best of the friends. The next day they'd be at war. And that feuding came to a tragic end for Audreanna R. Zimmerman last month...
She was walking down a dirt road, according to police, when she was set upon by 16-year-old Britnee Miller, her mother Tina Brown, 39, and 27-year-old Heather Lee. Police aren't saying what constituted the latest round of battle, but it's clear Audreanna's attacker's were very pissed.
They beat the 19-year-old mother of two with a crowbar and zapped her with a stun gun. Then they doused her with flammable liquid and set her aflame. Audreanna ran to a neighbor's house for help and a glass of water. She was later flown to a hospital in Mobile, Alabama.
Audreanna spent two weeks in a coma with burns over 60 percent of her body. Then she passed away.
Police believe the four may have been feuding over men, but they're not saying much more than that. Yesterday, Miller, Brown and Lee were all indicted by a grand jury on first-degree murder and kidnapping charges. The 16-year-old Miller will be tried as an adult.

Danville drug program grad faces murder charge
Sat, 06/26/2010 - 8:00am | Pat Phillips
PENSACOLA, Fla. – A former Danville woman and her daughter, along with a third woman, are in jail in northern Florida, awaiting trial on charges alleging they killed a teenage girl by beating her and setting her on fire.
According to authorities, the victim was able to identify the women as her attackers before lapsing into a coma and eventually dying.
Tina L. Brown, 39, her daughter, Britnee Miller, 16, and Heather Lee, 27, of Pensacola were charged in April with first-degree premeditated murder and kidnapping in the death of Audreanna Zimmerman, 19, of Pensacola.
According to Escambia County, Fla., State's Attorney Bill Eddins, the three females attacked Ms. Zimmerman on March 24 in woods near her home. There they poured gasoline on Ms. Zimmerman and set her on fire. Nearby residents called 911 after seeing the severely burned woman.
"She was able to make what we call a dying declaration, saying who had attacked her and that the burns to her were done intentionally and an accelerant was used," Sgt. Ted Roy, public information officer for the Escambia County sheriff's office, told The News-Gazette on Friday. "These women lived in the same small trailer park probably within four trailers of each other and had argued off and on for some time."
The attack was within a half-mile of the trailer park, Roy said.
Ms. Zimmerman was transferred from a Pensacola hospital to the burn unit at the University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile and was in a coma for two weeks. She died on April 8.
On April 27, a grand jury indicted Brown, Miller and Lee for the murder. Brown and Lee face the death penalty if convicted. Miller will be tried as an adult but is not eligible for the death penalty because of her age.
The defendants, who are being held without bond, will make their next court appearance on July 2.
Brown had been an assistant manager at California Catering in Danville until about a year ago, according to owner Mary Lewis.
"She had been a model employee. She was personable. She showed up for work on time, worked extra if I needed her," Lewis said. "I trusted her with driving my car, living in my house and working at my business."
Brown graduated from the Vermilion County Drug Court program on Dec. 13, 2006. A year earlier, when she was a new participant in the program, Brown spoke with The News-Gazette after watching other people graduate: "Just to see them make it through and follow the steps and make meetings and believe in themselves, it inspires me," she said in November 2005. "If they can do it, I know I can, too."
Lewis said that Brown had lived a "hard, hard, hard life ... probably a third of it had been as an addict."
Lewis said she never felt threatened by Brown but said that Brown had threatened someone who threatened Lewis.
"I think, back then anyway, she thought of me as a mother figure," Lewis said.
Lewis said she believed Brown had gotten back on drugs about a year ago because Brown forged a set of checks.
"But when I turned her in when the forged checks started showing up, she just fell out of sight," Lewis said.
The Danville High School registrar's office said Britnee Miller last attended school May 29, 2009.

Re: AUDREANNA ZIMMERMAN - 19 yo (2010)/ Convicted: Heather Trinee Lee, Tina Lasonya Brown and Britnee Miller - Pensacola FL
Death penalty sought in burning attack
June 11
The State Attorney's Office will seek the death penalty against two women
accused of setting fire to a woman who later died.
Tina Brown, 39, and Heather Lee, 27, would face either death or a life sentence
without parole if convicted of 1st-degree murder in the March 24 attack that
led to Audreanna Zimmerman's death.
A juvenile charged in the case, Britnee Miller, 16, isn't eligible to be
sentenced to death because of her age. Miller is charged with 1st-degree murder
and faces a mandatory life sentence if convicted.
State Attorney Bill Eddins said the nature of the allegations against the two
women and the teen weighed heavily in his office's decision to seek the death
penalty.
"In determining whether to seek the death penalty, there are several factors we
look at: Whether the crime is heinous, atrocious or cruel; and another factor
is whether it's cold, calculated and premeditated," he said.
Zimmerman, 19, was lured to a wooded area in West Pensacola by the trio.
Investigators said there was a disagreement among the women over a man.
Zimmerman was beaten with a crowbar, shocked with a stun gun and set on fire
with an accelerant on a dirt trail east of Ashland Avenue in Ensley, according
to an affidavit for a search warrant.
Zimmerman ran to a house where the occupants called 911.
Zimmerman was transported to the University of South Alabama Medical Center in
Mobile with severe burns to more than 60 % of her body. She was in a medically
induced coma for 2 weeks before she died.
Each of the 3 defendants is charged with 1st-degree premeditated murder and a
single count of kidnapping. Lee is due back in court June 22.
Miller's next scheduled court hearing is June 30.
Brown is due back in court July 2.

Sentence Handed Down In Escambia Murder, Body Burning
July 20, 2012
An Escambia County woman was sentenced to 25 years in prison Thursday for her part in the murder of a teen.
Heather Trinee Lee, 30, was one of three people charged with second degree murder for her role in brutally beating and burning 19-year old Audreanna Zimmerman in an Ensley field. Zimmerman lived for 16 days after the attack.
One of her co-defendants, Tina Lasonya Brown, 41, was convicted of first degree murder last month. The jury recommended the death penalty, but the judge could choose to sentence her to life in prison.
Brown’s 19-year old daughter, Britnee Miller, has also pleaded guilty to first degree murder. Her sentencing is set for September. Miller was a minor at the time of the murder cannot be sentenced to life in prison under a recent ruling from the Supreme Court.

The woman who beat and burned a teenager to death in Ensley in March 2010 was sentenced to death this afternoon.
Tina Brown, 42, was convicted in June of killing Audreanna Zimmerman, 19. Zimmerman was repeatedly beaten and hit with a stun gun before she was taken out to a wooded area and set on fire.
During a brief hearing this afternoon, Circuit Judge Gary Bergosh sentenced Brown to death. Reading from his order, Bergosh said the case made by prosecutors, which in part detailed the heinous way Zimmerman died, outweighed evidence presented by the defense. ...
