LIA HALL - 1 yo (2010) - Montgomery AL

Montgomery AL ---- A 1-year-old Montgomery baby is dead and her
step-father is now charged with murder. An investigation started after
police were called to Jackson Hospital Tuesday.
The baby, Lia A. Hall, had been transported by ambulance to the
hospital and was unresponsive. Wednesday, the Alabama Department of
Forensic Sciences determined Hall died from blunt force trauma to the head.


A homicide investigation started and police reinterviewed the
child's mother and stepfather, Geoffrey Mendenall, 21 years of age, who
were residing at the Stay Lodge on Chestnut Street.
Based on the interview with Mendenall and the findings by the
Department of Forensic Science, police charged the man with Capital
Murder and placed into the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
He's being held on no bond.
Baby Hall's death is the eighth homicide in Alabama's capital city since the start of 2010.

Step father released April 28, all charges dropped : Innocent in a court of law. Thanks! Where is the news story on THAT part?

Shades of NotMom! What the F is going on here?!
Would somebody care to e-mail the Montgomery County LE or check with the Detention Center?
I am not one to put much credence in those "comments" sections.
