Chicago IL ---- Chicago police say murder charges have been filed against a
Madison, Wis., man accused of shooting to death four family members,
including his pregnant wife and 7-month-old son.Police say four
first-degree murder charges were filed Thursday against 32-year-old
James Larry. Larry also is charged with four counts of attempted
first-degree murder and two counts of intentional homicide of an unborn
child.Police say the victims also included Larry's pregnant
16-year-old niece and his 3-year-old niece.Larry was arrested
about 90 minutes after the early Wednesday shootings that police say
also left his mother and a 13-year-old nephew wounded. The woman
and the boy remained hospitalized Thursday.

Here's an earlier report~
A man arrested after a woman and three
children, including an infant and a toddler, were found shot to death in
a Chicago home told police voices encouraged him to kill his family and
he was sorry he had run out of bullets, a person close to the
investigation told The Associated Press. Those killed inside a
brick home on the city's southwest side early Wednesday included the
suspected gunman's wife, his 7-month-old son and his two nieces, said
the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not
authorized to discuss the investigation. A woman and a teenage boy also
were wounded and remained hospitalized. The Cook County Medical
Examiner's office identified the dead as: 7-month-old Jahad Larry,
3-year-old Kelesha Larry, 16-year-old Keyshai Fields and 19-year-old
Tawana Thompson Larry. The shootings may have resulted from a
domestic situation, police spokeswoman Amina Greer said, but she would
not confirm relationships between the suspected gunman and victims. The
person close to the investigation, however, said the suspected gunman
was Tawana Thompson Larry's husband and Jahad's father. Kelesha and
Keyshai were believed to be his nieces, the person said. The
person said the suspected gunman told police Allah had told him to kill
family members. The man's sister told reporters at a vigil outside the
home that her brother had recently been reading passages from an Islamic
text that led him to believe he should kill someone."My heart is
crushed ... He's not a bad person. I don't know why he would do this,"
said Letisha Larry, 30, before breaking into tears and walking away. The
person who spoke on condition of anonymity said police believe the
gunman had also chased a 12-year-old girl out of the house and fired his
weapon at her, but missed, then fled the scene. The person said the
girl notified police.Officers arrested the suspected gunman
several miles away about 90 minutes after the 4:30 a.m. shooting. They
also found a handgun but had not determined Wednesday if it was the
weapon used in the slayings.Court documents in Madison, Wis.,
indicate a man and a woman with the same names as the suspected gunman
and his wife were granted joint custody of a 7-month-old boy in a
paternity case just last week.Although there are discrepancies in
the spelling of the woman's first name and the first name of the boy —
Wisconsin documents list her first name as Twanda and the boy as Jihad —
the ages of both are the same as those killed in Chicago. The man
and woman married in March, according to the April 6 paternity judgment
granting joint custody. The judgment said the man was unemployed, but
was working through a temporary staffing agency in Madison for $10 an
hour. The man named in those court documents has a criminal
history involving drugs and theft, beginning when he was in his late
teens. In 2000, he was sentenced to 20 months in prison for felony
cocaine possession. Most recently, prosecutors in September 2009
charged him with disorderly conduct and battery after he allegedly
attacked Thompson, 18 at the time, in a van in a Walmart parking lot in
Madison.According to a criminal complaint, Thompson told police
the man was angry with her, although the complaint does not say why. As
she unloaded the baby stroller he allegedly grabbed her face and
squeezed her cheeks, pulled her back inside the van and put her in a
chokehold, the complaint said.He then got out of the van and
started swearing at bystanders, shouting something like "What would you
do if your woman was acting like this?" He eventually pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery.

A Wisconsin man suspected in the shooting deaths of his pregnant wife,
infant son and two nieces in their Chicago home told police he committed the
crimes, prosecutors said Friday.
James Larry, 32, of Madison, Wis., gave a videotaped confession and led
police to where he dropped the handgun after Wednesday morning's shootings,
prosecutors told a judge during a brief hearing in which Larry was ordered held
without bond.
Larry kept his head down during the hearing, saying only "Yes, ma'am," when
Judge the judge asked him questions.

The judge also ordered Larry transferred to the county jail's medical unit for
mental health treatment. Larry's attorney, Assistant Public Defender Julie
Koehler, said he needed treatment and had been under a doctor's care for mental
health problems for eight years.

Koehler described Larry as "very, very emotional and upset" and said he kept
his head down during the hearing because he was crying.
Larry was arrested after the Wednesday morning shootings on Chicago's
southwest side and charged Thursday night with four counts of first-degree
murder, four counts of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of
intentional homicide of an unborn child. Along with his wife, his 16-year-old
niece was pregnant.
Larry told police after his arrest that he heard voices encouraging him to kill
his family and was sorry he had run out of bullets, a person close to the
investigation said. The person spoke on condition of
anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the investigation.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office has identified the shooting victims
as Tawanda Thompson, her 7-month-old son, Jahod Larry, high school student
Keyshai Fields, 16, and 3-year-old Keleasha Larry. Both young women were
pregnant.
A 12-year-old girl escaped from the house and called police.
Larry was arrested shortly after the shootings.

The LARRY Family - Wife, Son and two nieces (2010) - Chicago IL Mozart-victims

By BJ Lutz

James Larry of Madison, Wisconsin allegedly looked up at the sky and didn't see the moon or the sun and decided it was a sign he should kill his wife, his son and two neices a source said.

He then went inside the brick home on the 7200 block of Mozart Avenue and allegedly executed his brood.

Killed in the massacre were Larry's wife, Twanda Thompson, 19; their 7-month-old son, Jihad Larry, and the man's nieces, Robeson High School student Keyshai Fields, 16, and Keleasha Larry, 3, relatives said.

Larry has been charged with first degree murder in all four killings and faces attempted murder charges in for shooting his mother, Leona Larry, and a teenage nephew, police and family said. They remained hospitalized Thursday.

Keyshai Fields and Twanda Thompson both were pregnant, family members said.

A 12-year-old girl in the house managed to escape and ran to a gas station, where she called 911. The gunman shot at her as she fled but missed, police said.

Larry later said "Allah" told him to kill his family and said he was sorry he ran out of bullets, according to police,.

Court documents in Madison, Wis., indicate Larry and Thompson were granted joint custody of the 7-month-old in a paternity case
just last week.

The couple married last month, according to the April 6 paternity judgment, despite a rocky relationship. Larry, who went by the Muslim name "Bayah" wanted Tawanda to wear Muslim clothing. But Tawanda, who family members said wanted to be a police officer, resisted.

Court records indicate James Larry has an arrest record dating to 1995 for battery, drug possession, resisting arrest and escape,

said Andy Conklin, spokesman for the Cook County, Ill., state's attorney's office.

Larry was sentenced in 2002 to almost six years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possessing a firearm as a felon.

Paroled in April 2007, he stayed out of trouble for about a year before he was sentenced to three months in a halfway house after he
admitted smoking marijuana.

BLACK MAN, CONVERTED TO ISLAM IN PRISON, MURDERS HIS ENTIRE FAMILY

Why? because his wife refused to wear Islamic dress.
The story comes from the Northeast Intelligence Network:

Family massacre in Chicago a Muslim "honor killing"
By Douglas J. Hagmann
16 April 2010: It was a scene that left one of the most hardened Chicago detectives I know shaken. He described the murder scene to me last night as one of the worst he has seen in his career, and he has seen some of the worst.

Responding early Wednesday morning to the scene of a multiple shooting inside a bungalow located in the 7200 block of South Mozart Street, Chicago, IL were the bloodied and lifeless bodies of Tawanda Thompson, 19, who was in the late stages of pregnancy with a girl; Keyshai Fields, 16, also four-months pregnant; 3 year-old Keleasha Larry, and 7 month-old Jihad Larry. There were all methodically murdered in an early morning shooting spree allegedly at the hand of 32 year-old James A. LARRY, Tawanda Thompson's husband. They were married less than a month. In addition to the dead, 57 year-old Leona Larry, the suspect's mother and his 13 year-old nephew, Demond Larry were critically wounded.

Considering the unborn children, six lives were shortened by murder and two more lie in the balance. The act was particularly brutal, according to the homicide detective, who provided this author with the details of the murder scene on the condition his name not be used.He confirmed some of the published and unpublished police reports and sources, stating that the suspect shot his wife first, the bullet entering her throat. He then methodically executed the others in the house, shooting each victim in the head or face. When he realized that his pregnant wife was still alive, he turned and shot her in the head, killing her and her unborn child –a girl.

And one 12 year-old girl witnessed nearly the entire event, herself narrowly escaping death by running in her pajamas to a nearby gas station for help as the suspect shot at her. At the gas station, the traumatized young girl telephoned her mother, saying that her uncle "killed everyone." The suspect, James LARRY, was apprehended by police a short time later. He was charged yesterday with four counts of first-degree murder, four counts of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of intentional homicide of an unborn child.

When arrested, the suspect expressed remorse. He reportedly told arresting officers that he was sorry, but not for the murders. "He was sorry that he ran out of bullets," confirmed the detective. The motive? His wife and family would not submit to Islamic doctrine.

As he described the scene inside the house and the suspect's apprehension to me last night, this hardened police detective who I've known for the last eight years was more upset than I've even known him to be. Upset over the deaths, upset over the motive, and upset at the legal system. "This didn't have to happen," he said. "But it did, and it will probably happen again in another community, to another family," he stated. "The reason it happened here and the reason it will happen again is that we've allowed our prisons to become recruiting grounds for Islamic fundamentalism that teaches this twisted [expletive deleted]. And our system has become too lenient, too 'PC,' and too afraid to confront this problem, so now we have nearly an entire family murdered by a guy quoting Allah and the Qu'ran."

Charged: James A. LARRY

James A. LARRY converted to Islam while serving time in prison. Having a number of prior convictions, LARRY was most recently sentenced in 2002 to 5 ½ years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possessing a firearm as a felon. He was paroled in April of 2007, but spent three months in a halfway house after he admitted smoking marijuana while on probation.

It was during his time in prison that he began receiving visits by prison imams through the Islamic prison outreach program. "He became increasingly radicalized with orthodox Islamic beliefs, ultimately demanding compliance to fundamentalist Islam by his wife and family," stated the detective. "He [allegedly] killed his wife because she would not wear Muslim attire, and would not follow his beliefs," he stated. "It was an honor killing, pure and simple, but don't count on hearing that in the media."

An in-depth look exposing the infiltration of our prisons was published in our February 17, 2010 article titled From the Places to the tombs, a Pandora's Box of peril. Until we put a stop to this brand of prison outreach, expect the body count in the U.S. to rise.

[end of article]

According to their "About" page, the Northeast Intelligence Network is a group of "professional investigators, analysts, military affairs specialists and researchers who have combined their resources in response to the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States by Islamic terrorists. Team members volunteers their time and combine their expertise to fill a specific niche in the private sector to research, investigate and analyze potential terrorist threats ... "

Mother of man charged with slaying family dies from gunshot wound
May 2, 2010 6:15 AM

The mother of a man charged last month with the shooting deaths of four family members died Saturday night from a gunshot wound to the head.

Leona Larry, 57, of the 7200 block of South Mozart Street, was pronounced dead at 5:45 p.m. Saturday at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Leona Larry was found shot in the head, along with five other family members in the early morning hours of April 14, police said.

Her son, James Larry, is charged with killing his pregnant wife, Twanda Thompson, 19, his 7-month-old son Jihad, and his pregnant niece, Keyshai Fields, 16. He also was charged with the death of another niece, 3-year-old Keleasha Larry, who was found shot in the same bed with her older sister, police said.

James Larry was charged last month with first-degree murder, intentional homicide of an unborn child and attempted murder. Police said he confessed to the murders.

James Larry's 13-year-old nephew, Desmond Larry, who he also is charged with shooting, was taken in critical condition to Christ Hospital the morning of the attack. Last month, family members reported he was still at the hospital recovering.

As of this morning, there was no report that Larry had been charged for the fifth murder.

Killer of family gets life in prison: 'I pray for them'

May 04, 2011
A 33-year-old man was sentenced to life in prison without parole today in the slayings of his mother, pregnant wife, infant son, and two nieces in a rampage last year on Chicago’s South Side.

Prosecutors said James A. Larry of Madison, Wis. came to Chicago in April 2010 bent on slaughtering his family because he felt “disrespected” that they would not join his Islamic religion.

“He was upset at his wife and their family,” Assistant State’s Attorney Jim McKay said. “It didn’t matter if they were young or old, pregnant or not. He wanted them dead.”

Larry pleaded guilty last month to multiple counts of murder and attempted murder.

He admitted fatally shooting his mother, Leona Larry, 57; his wife, Twanda Thompson, 19; his 7-month-old son, Jihad; his 3-year-old niece, Keleasha Larry; and his 16-year-old niece, Keyshai Fields, at a home in Chicago’s Marquette Park neighborhood.

He also shot his 13-year-old nephew in the face and fired at his 12-year-old niece as she fled the home, but they both survived.
