"Infant John" FRAIZE - 15 months - Madera (NW of Fresno) CA

UPDATE: The child was found on Austin
Street in Madera County. He is said to have been unharmed. The child's
father is still on the loose.
Deputies believe Billy Fraize ditched the vehicle he was driving and
is either now fleeing on foot, or had access to another vehicle.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 15-month old child out of Madera County.
Deputies say that around 9:15 a.m. the child was taken in the area of
Avenue 7 and Highway 145 in Madera by his father Billy Eugene Fraize.
Fraize is described as being armed and dangerous.
According to Madera County Deputies, Fraize was expected to return to
the Madera County Department of Corrections on Monday for Grand Theft
and Receiving Stolen Property charges, but failed to show up.
Officers say that instead he went to his wife's home, threatened her
with a knife, and then kidnapped both her and their young son. A
shortwhile later he dropped the woman off near the Madera/Fresno county
line before fleeing with the child.
Fraize is identified as having numerous tattoos on his body,
including a swastika on his stomach and "Momma" across his back.
Fraize was last seen driving a green Toyota pick-up with the license
plate #: 4 L 4 X X 9 5.
Deputies say Fraize is now facing attempted murder charges, along
with 2 counts of kidnapping and escape from custody.

Authorities captured a Fresno man who was wanted in Madera for
attempted murder and kidnapping.43-year-old Billy Fraize was
captured late Monday afternoon several miles west of Chowchilla.He's
accused of kidnapping his estranged wife and their son at knifepoint.It
was a series of tips that lead investigators to Fraize and hours after
he allegedly kidnapped his estranged wife and her son in Madera County,
officers had him cornered.Sergeant Patrick Majeski with the
Madera County Sheriff's Department said, “Officers made contact with
him. Verbally, he did not comply at all with any verbal commands. He
refused to show us any hands and he refused to adhere to any warnings of
utilizing a canine.”Fraize had been missing for three weeks.
Back on April 12th, he was granted a day pass from the Department of
Corrections for an interview in Fresno but quickly vanished. Monday
morning, investigators say he went to his estranged wife's house and
used a knife to kidnap her and her 15-month-old son. The woman
was eventually let go and an amber alert was issued when investigators
realized the boy was still missing. The baby's grandmother said,
“He come from around the corner and just left the baby and said 'Here's
the baby" and I'm outta here and took off running. And by the time I
grabbed the baby and looked around the corner, he was just gone."Fraize
now faces several charges, including attempted murder and kidnapping.
