JEREMIAH RAMOS - 4 yo - Bakersfield CA

Bakersfield CA ---- Police agencies are
searching for a man who they said took a child away from his legal
guardian.On April 6, the Madera Police Department issued an Amber
Alert for 4-year-old Jeremiah Ramos, the child was taken by the natural
parents from the grandmother who is Jeremiah’s legal guardian.The
parents are identified as 28-year-old Jovan Campos and 34-year-old
Edwin Juarez Ramos, both from Madera.
Shortly after the incident in April, the Madera police relayed
information to the Bakersfield Police Department that the parents may
have fled with the child to Bakersfield. Initial efforts to locate the
child and parents were unsuccessful.During the past month, the
BPD officers have been in constant contact with the MPD, while following
up on potential clues.During this time, the Madera police
obtained a felony arrest warrant for Ramos on charges of child
concealment. Campos had an existing parole warrant out of the
California Department of Corrections.Around 4:20 p.m. on
Wednesday, officers were working on possible clues when the missing
child and Campos were located in an apartment complex in the 1000 block
of Washington Street.Jeremiah was taken into protective custody
and Campos was arrested for the outstanding parole warrant. Campos was
later booked into the Kern County Jail.



Edwin Ramos was not
located at the apartment complex on Washington Street; however, officers
believe he is still in the Bakersfield area. Anyone with information
regarding the location of Edwin Ramos is asked to call the Bakersfield
