CEDAR CITY - Fliers were posted on Friday at Cedar Middle School and
other areas around town, asking for help to find a missing boy from
Carlsbad.
Dillon Ford, 15, did not return from school May 4 and has been on the
move since then. The Carlsbad Police Department confirmed Friday it has
been investigating the case with assistance from St. George and Cedar
City Police departments. However, the lead investigator from California
was out of the office until Monday and not available for comment. Voice
messages seeking comment from local law enforcement were not returned by
press time.Ford's
mother, Traci Tun, said her son contacted her Wednesday saying he had
hitch-hiked with a truck driver and was in the St. George and Cedar City
area. Ford is familiar with the area as he was born in St. George and
lived there until approximately 18 months ago when his family moved to
Calif. Despite being in regular contact with her son, Tun hasn't heard
from him for the last two days and is worried about his well-being."His cellular phone
was traced to Cedar City," Tun said. "This is out of his character. It
is not like him. I just want to find him and bring him home so he can
finish school. I want to know he is alive and he's OK. He has a great
support system, gets good grades, has friends and is happy. This came
out of the blue."Ford
is 5-feet, 5-inches tall and 100 pounds. He has light brown, sandy
blond hair, blue eyes and wears braces on his teeth. Anyone with

Police from two states are still looking for a 15-year-old boy who went
missing on May 4.
Dillon Ford, 15, of Carlsbad, Calif., went missing May 4. He has,

days ago."On May
7 officers did an additional follow-up and he (Ford) had run away
again," Schafer said. "There are no indications of foul play."Ford was born in St.

family moved to California.Ford is 5-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs about 100
pounds. He has light brown-sandy blond hair, blue eyes and wears braces
