Chisholm MN ---- Chisholm police hope an age–enhanced photo of a missing
girl will bring in new leads in her disappearance.


Five–year–old Leeanna Warner went missing seven years ago today while
on her way to a friend's house. Police have investigated hundreds of
leads, but none has led to any answers as to what happened.
Police Chief Vernon Manner says the release of the new photo should
generate leads on a national scale. The photo shows what Leeanna would
look like at age 12.

It's been seven years since a five year old Chisholm girl
mysteriously disappeared just blocks from her home.
Police have followed more than 1,600 leads since her
disappearance but LeeAnna Warner remains missing without a trace.
Now a new age– enhanced photo has been released and
authorities hope it will trigger new leads.
LeAnn Wallace takes us back to Chisholm where the search
began.
"I guess she's got a little bit of both of us in her. You
can kind of see with the hair and the jaw line and stuff is more mine
and the eyes and stature is more Kailins."
Chris Warner looks at the newly released photo picking out
which physical traits his now 12 year old daughter might have.
"It's always hard to see you know because it makes you
wonder."

The community has also been left wondering...what happened
to the little girl known by her family and friends as "Beaner".
"She was going out to her friend's house, kind of her trap
line she ran every day she never made it home."
Since she disappeared on June 14th 2003 there have been many
search efforts.
"Around 350 people gathered here at this park the night of
LeeAnna's disappearance. LeeAnna's father says that it was at this
slide, he knew they were in it for the long hall."
"We walked all night long, and my dad was sitting on the
slide there you know, and I guess that's the first time I actually ever
broke down, and it's been going ever since."
"We had, it was close to 500 leads in the first week so that
was a lot of things that had to be followed up on and a lot of people
that had to be interviewed."
Police Chief Vernon Manner says the release of this photo is
expected to generate more leads on a national scale.
"The new posters will be circulated around town, around the
area, the national committee will be sending these. They do mailings
several times a year for us in different areas."
Manner says most of the leads that come in are
look–a–likes...but no lead goes uninvestigated.
"We follow up on absolutely everything. So whether you think
it's important or not. Please call, bring it to our forefront, we will
check into it."
"Somebody's got to know something. It's just a matter of
getting them to want to clear their conscious and step forward with it."
A new picture...
"I'm glad that they have the technology to do it."
Some old memories...
"The walks and going to the park."
And holding on to hope.
"I believe that she is still alive, it keeps this family
going, and I refuse to believe anything else. Until they can physically
put her in my arms I won't give up."
