ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- WESH 2 News has learned the state attorney's office will release 5,000 pages of information Friday in the case against Casey Anthony.A spokeswoman for state attorney Lawson Lamar said
much of the information is letters sent to Anthony behind bars."It's interesting," the spokeswoman said of the
documents' content.
There are now just over 20,000 pages of evidence and information so far in this case.Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee Marie.Criminal defense attorney Richard Hornsby
said he's surprised the state is releasing 5,000 pages."It does surprise me," he said. "It comes during a lull in the case. (There) doesn't seem to be any outstanding issues we're not already aware
of."Next month, Judge Belvin Perry is expected to decide if he'll allow into evidence 911 calls made by Cindy Anthony, who pointed outa bad smell in her daughter's car."That's clearly going to go in the state's favor," Hornsby said. "I don't think that's going to be a big issue."Hornsby said he predicts Perry will allow the defense
to introduce unflattering evidence from the ex-wife of Roy Kronk, the man who discovered Caylee's remains.Another big issue the judge has yet to rule on is the defense argument that air tests confirming
decomposition in Casey Anthony's car are based on unproven junk science.
