TRISTAN MICHAEL BRAMLETT - 1 yo - Boron (NE of Lancaster) CA
A Boron couple was arrested after their 1-year-old boy was taken to a
hospital in critical condition suffering from what deputies called a
traumatic head injury.
Stephanie Nicole Bramlett and Adam Parrish were taken into custody
Monday on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child, Kern County Sheriff's
spokesman Ray Pruitt said. They were each being held at the Mojave Jail
on $20,000 bail.
Deputies received a report at 2 p.m. Monday of a child not breathing
at the couple's residence in the 26000 block of Prospect Avenue,
according to Pruitt. Paramedics were on scene when deputies arrived.
The child was airlifted to Loma Linda Medical Center and remained in
critical condition Tuesday, Pruitt said. In addition to the head injury,
there was bruising to the boy's face, body and left shoulder consistent
with long-term physical abuse.
The couple's two other children -- ages 1 and 3 -- also bore signs of
abuse, including scratches and bruises, Pruitt said. They were taken
into protective custody. The 1-year-old is the twin sister of the boy in
critical condition.
Bramlett, 23, is the mother of the twins, and Parrish, 25, is the
father of the 3-year-old.
An investigation is ongoing.

Sadly this needs to be Updated to Resulting in Death. He passed away at about 2:30pm yesterday from his injuries. CPS had been called on her multiple times, pictures of her neglect had been given and shown to police, and officers had actually been in her room to see how bad it was and nothing was ever done, and now it is entirely to late for one of her two children.

Prosecutors withdrew child abuse charges against a Boron couple
Wednesday and are considering murder charges instead after the woman's 1-year-old son died.
Sheriff's deputies said the boy had bruises all over his body "consistent with long-term physical abuse."
Two other children living with the couple also had signs of physical abuse.
Those children -- the boy's twin sister and a 3-year-old --were taken into county custody.
Deputies identified the suspects as Stephanie Nicole Bramlett, 23, and her live-in boyfriend, Adam Parrish, 25.
Deputies received a report at 2 p.m. Monday of a child not breathing at the
couple's mobile home in a park at 26601 Prospect Ave., Boron, according
to sheriff's spokesman Ray Pruitt. Paramedics were on scene when deputies arrived.
The child was airlifted to Loma Linda Medical Center, where he died Wednesday.
On Bramlett's Facebook page, she identified herself as the single mother of 1-year-old twins.
She was also, according to her Facebook page, excited about being a new
relationship. "He may be the one," she wrote on her wall.
Parrish, 25, is the father of the 3-year-old boy, but not the twins, according to the sheriff's department.
Authorities are awaiting the results of the autopsy to determine if murder charges will be filed.
The autopsy was scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday.

Thank you. I get so angry when I read that yet again good people have tried to help an abused child and CPS left him to his terrible end.Nightspectre wrote:Sadly this needs to be Updated to Resulting in Death. Re: TRISTAN MICHAEL BRAMLETT - 1 yo - Boron (NE of Lancaster) CA
I know my comment is probably going to be debated, but I have to say it..... Unless you are an officer that responded or a CPS worker that responded, how can you say without a doubt that both law enforcement and CPS failed this precious child? Instead of automatically casting the blame on CPS and law enforcement, people need to take a look at the laws that protect the parents that abuse and neglect their children. The laws need to be changed. CPS and law enforcement work within the laws. They cannot intervene, no matter how many calls are made or "pictures" are given. If law enforcement responds and the parents are under the influence or a child is injured, they do not arrest or remove the children period. If CPS responds they do not remove children unless there are visible health or safety hazards that cannot be remedied in that moment, there are unexplainable/unbelievable marks or bruises to a child, both parents are arrested, or both parents are under the influence. If one parent is sober and willing and able to protect the child, then CPS and law enforcement cannot remove a child. If they do remove a child the parents have to be taken to court within 48 hours (due process). If CPS or Law enforcement do not have a strong enough case, the judge can determine to release the child(ren) back to the care of the parents, and if the child was the person who reported the abuse, the child is now back in the care of the parent who is angry the child talked to law enforcement and CPS. For the most part, CPS truly does everything within the law and their power to remove children or keep families together. CPS does not just rip children from their families, or leave them to be abused or killed. Laws need to be changed. CPS has to abide by civil rights. Parents have more rights than the children. Parents do not have to let CPS into their homes, or law enforcement. Law enforcement can only force entry if they believe there is risk, without a warrant.
This is truly tragic, but please consider placing the blame where it goes. On the mother and her boyfriend. If they didn't cause the injuries to the children, then they left the children to be abused many times.

Re: TRISTAN MICHAEL BRAMLETT - 1 yo - Boron (NE of Lancaster) CA
voiceofreason, the law provides CPS with the power to remove a child who is being abused. They are not required to have proof beyond reasonable doubt that abuse is occurring, only that more likely than not it is. If we gave them more power than that they could march into any home and take a child for no reason so we can't ask for that law to be changed. They will attempt to reunite the child with their parents within 18 months if the parents jump through the hoops but they DO NOT HAVE TO RETURN THE CHILD. If they still do not think it's in the best interest of the child they must find a more permanent home for the child elsewhere after 18 months.
I and others are quite right to criticize CPS on any occasion if by doing so they will come under pressure to do their jobs better.

Answering this somewhat belatedly.
I know the mother and her boyfriend murdered this child.
They were allowed to do it because LE and CPS failed to do their jobs. They didn't do what they were hired to do and now another baby is dead.
Parents have no choice, CPS can enter any home where a child is known or believed to be in danger. They can remove a child they think is endangered. If parents refuse entry it is ficilated by uniformed officers.
Yes, if a judge finds insufficient evidence or is brain dead the child can be returned home. We've see that in hundreds of cases where the child ends up dead due to a brain dead judge who acts with impunity.
Yet another baby dead due to a POS mother and her POS boyfriend. And in this case lousy CPS workers.

BORON, Calif. -- A homicide investigation has launched after a 1-year-old boy died after alleged abuse.
Tristan Michael Bramlett died Wednesday at Loma Linda Medical Center.
Emergency crews took him by air to the hospital earlier this week after
he reportedly stopped breathing.
The boy suffered head trauma had bruising on his face, torso and
shoulder, which indicates possible long-term abuse, according to the
Kern County Sheriff's Office. Two other juveniles in the Boron home,
the victim's twin sister and a 3-year-old boy, also showed signs of abuse and were taken into protective custody.
The parents were arrested for willful cruelty to a child, but they
were released from jail Wednesday so a homicide investigation could begin.
