A Merced County woman is in custody, accused of severely abusing her young daughter.Merced
County Deputies say 26-year-old Maria Galicia of Gustine took her
11-month-old to Children's Hospital for an apparent ear infection but
doctors discovered the girl had several bone fractures.The
injuries include a fracture that runs from the top of her head to the
back of her head, as well as fractures to her arms and legs.Doctors say all the fractures are in different stages of healing, which indicates they happened at different times.Galicia was arrested and faces child endangerment charges.
