Christmas Minus 1

As the trees go up and the lights are strung on
Remember the small child that is forever gone
No presents for her or striped candy canes
Life without her will never be the same
A beautiful baby girl that is eternally lost
No chance to sit upon the lap of Santa Claus
No bedtime stories of cake and sugar plums
No anxious questions of when Santa will come
An empty stocking that bears her sweet name
No chance for her to wake up to see if Santa came
Mistletoe kisses that are so sure to be missed
There’s nothing like that sugar cookie crumb kiss
An empty space is what this child has left behind
Not far from our hearts and always on our minds
So be sure to hug your loved ones tightly this holiday season
If they ask you why, let them know that Caylee is the reason
Happy Holidays my Friends~~~
