Cobb County police are asking for
the public's help in finding a 14-year-old mentally challenged girl who
walked away from her home Thursday afternoon.

Markea Barry, right, walked away from her Cobb County home Thursday afternoon and has not been seen since, police said.


Markea Barry walked away from the back porch of her Mableton home around 5:30 p.m., Officer Joseph Hernandez with Cobb County police said. Markea is mentally challenged and functions at a third-grader's level, Hernandez said.
Markea is black with a light complexion, 4-foot-11 inches tall and
weighs between 70 to 80 pounds, police said. She has two braided
ponytails and was last seen wearing a light shirt and light green pants
with a fruit pattern.
Anyone with information about Markea's whereabouts is asked to call Cobb police at 770-499-3911.

She was found at 9 a.m. Friday and quickly returned to her family, Cobb County police said.
