Greenwich Township police are investigating a reported parental child abduction this morning from the Phillipsburg Inn on Route 22, according to emergency radio reports.

The 5-year-old boy, Ronald R. Canti, was taken by his biological
mother, Angeline Terek, at 6:30, according to reports. Terek is wanted
out of South Carolina on weapons charges and is considered potentially
dangerous, radio reports indicate.
Terek is driving a green
Mercedes, possibly with either Delaware or South Carolina license
plates, according to reports. The boy was last seen wearing red shorts, a
navy blue shirt with yellow writing and has a cast on his left arm,
reports indicate.
Terek may be headed to Philipsburg, Pa., in Centre County or the state of Delaware, according to reports.

Radio reports indicate authorities are considering asking New
Jersey State Police to issue an Amber Alert about the incident. No Amber
Alert has yet been issued.

Township police were not immediately available for further comment.

Ronald R. Canti, a 5-year-old boy reported abducted by his biological mother this morning in Greenwich Township, has been located and his mother arrested, police said.

Angeline Terek, 21, allegedly kidnapped the boy this morning at the Phillipsburg Inn, Greenwich Township police Chief Rich Guzzo said.

She was arrested about 2:15 this afternoon in Bristol Township, Bucks
County, Guzzo said. The boy was not harmed, and authorities do not
believe Terek was armed during his abduction.

Terek is wanted in South Carolina on weapons charges, Guzzo said, and was considered potentially dangerous.

Greenwich Township police have not yet determined whether Terek turned herself in or was seized by police, Guzzo said.

Canti and his father, also named Ronald, live in Orangeberg, S.C. They were
visiting the township so Terek, who is believed to live in the Bristol
area, could see her son, Guzzo said.
"They came up here to visit relatives and give the opportunity for the mother to see the child," Guzzo said.
Terek's car, a green Mercedes, was found abandoned on Michael Place in Bristol
Township, Guzzo said. She was arrested in or around the home of Terek's
mother, who lives in the township, he said.

Prior to her arrest, police were in contact via telephone with both Terek and her mother, who
cooperated with authorities, Guzzo said.

The mother's identity was not immediately available, but she goes by the nickname "Big Angel," he said.

Terek stayed overnight with Canti, his father and stepmother at the
Phillipsburg Inn, Guzzo said. Canti was last seen there about 6 o'clock this morning.

When Canti's father awoke around 11 o'clock and
found Terek and her son missing, he contacted police and a search was launched, Guzzo said.

Terek had never abducted or threatened to abduct Canti before, Guzzo said.
"But because of the weapons charges out of South Carolina, they were very concerned for the child's safety," he said.
Specific information about those charges was not immediately available.

Authorities are still trying to determine who has legal custody of Canti. His
father told police he has sole custody, but Terek said that is not true, Guzzo said.

Police have not yet determined where Terek will be
arraigned because it depends on whether she allows extradition to New
Jersey, Guzzo said. The Warren County Prosecutor's Office has been
contacted about the matter, he said.
