SARAH BAUER - 16 yo - Colebrook (NW of Hartford) CT

State Police are investigating the disappearance of a Colebrook teenager.

According to police, Sarah Bauer, 16, of 358 Colebrook River Rd., was last seen on Sept. 25.

Bauer is described as a white female with blonde hair and blue eyes. Bauer is about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 98 pounds.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white, long-sleeved shirt. Bauer also has braces on her teeth.

The search for a Northwestern Regional High School girl is over.

State police from Troop B barracks in North Canaan confirmed Sunday that Sarah Bauer, of Colebrook, was found alive.

Though state police have not yet released the details of how and where she was found, a dispatcher reported that a press release will be issued soon.

Bauer was listed as 16 on the missing person report and her Facebook page records her as 18. She is scheduled to graduate from Northwestern Regional High School, a district that includes Colebrook, Norfolk, Barkhamsted and New Hartford students, in 2012, according to Facebook.

State police described Bauer as an “endangered runaway” on an Oct. 1 press release.

Bauer, a blue-eyed, blond-haired, five-feet-and-five-inch-tall, 98-pound girl, had been missing since Sept. 25. She had last been seen wearing blue jeans, white long-sleeve shirt and braces on her teeth.

Prior to her disappearance, the last time Bauer had posted on her own Facebook wall was Aug. 5. The last time one of her Facebook friends posted on her wall was 11 a.m. on Sunday, and another posted on her wall on Sept. 10 before she went missing. She had turned 18 on June 6.

The search was lead by Trooper Roy Dungan and Sgt. Robert Grega, commanding officer of the State Police Missing Person Clearinghouse.
