LEXI BREWER - 13 yo - Le Mars ( NE of Sioux City) IA
It's every parents worst nightmare; not knowing where their child is. But for one Le Mars parent it's more than a nightmare, it's a reality. On Monday morning 13–year–old Lexi Brewer headed to the bus stop with her younger sister. Her sister got on the bus, but Lexi didn't and she hasn't been seen or heard from since.
"The last thing I remember is her smiling at me and I told her to have a great day and I watched her walk up and I came in the house and that's the last time I've seen her," says Lexi's mother, Jennifer Brewer. As soon as Lexi's mother found out she hadn't been in school, she knew something was wrong."Alexis, in her time of going to school, has never skipped school. Never. And so I immediately called the police," says Brewer. While investigators don't have any concrete leads right now, it's believed that Lexi is in the Sioux City area."The first cell phone tower ping was at seven o'clock, maybe a couple of minutes after seven, and that was between a tower, it pinged off between West Fourth and West Ninth. At 8:13 it pinged off another tower between Baking Creek and the bypass," says Brewer. For now Lexi's mother can only hope for some answers that will help her find her daughter."She may not have gotten on that bus willingly, but is she in control of the situation now? We don't know, we don't know nothing. Everything's a big question mark."Lexi was last seen wearing gray colored jeans with a gray sweatshirt and tennis shoes.Lexi's family has also started a Facebook page to help find her.

Police search for missing teen

A 13-year-old girl from Le Mars has been missing since Monday morning.
Alexis "Lexi" Marie Brewer apparently went to the school bus stop but decided not to go to school, according to the Le Mars Police. That was the last time anyone in her family has seen her.
Brewer left on her own accord, so the police suspect no foul play at this time, according to Le Mars Police Chief Stu Dekkenga.
"We just have no reason to believe that," he said.
Brewer, he said, recently moved to Le Mars from the Hinton Community School.
She is 5'4" and weighs 145 pounds. She has long, dark brown hair below her shoulders and was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a green T-shirt and dark colored pants. Her backpack is checkered.
"We're trying to follow up on some leads on friends, old friends, cell phones and social networking sites," Dekkenga said.
If anyone has information on Brewer's whereabouts, Dekkenga urged them to call the Le Mars Police at 546-4113 or the local law enforcement.
