-- Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for three children who were abducted by their father in Spokane, Washington on early Wednesday afternoon. He may be en-route to Indiana.The abduction took place around 1 p.m. PDT in Spokane when 33-year-old Chad Phillips abducted his three children from court following an adverse court ruling. Phillips has no custody of the children and police are concerned for the children's welfare due to his history of assaults.

The first victim was identified by police as 10-year-old Kaleb Phillips. He is described as a 4 feet tall white boy with blue eyes and blonde hair. He weighs around 80 pounds.The second victim was identified as 8-year-old Dawson Phillips. He is described as a 3 feet tall white boy with blue eyes and blonde hair. He weighs around 60 pounds.The last victim was identified as 6-year-old Bishop Phillips. He is described as a 3 feet tall boy with blue eyes and blonde hair. He weighs approximately 50 pounds.The suspect, their 33-year-old father Chad Phillips, was identified as a white male with blue eyes and blonde hair. He is about 5 feet and 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds.Police believe the suspect and his children are driving in a 1996 dark green Chevrolet Monte Carlo with Indiana license plate IU4676. They may be en-route to Indiana.

Amber Alert Issued Out of Washington State

Authorities have issued an Amber Alert out of Washington state for three brothers.
Authorities are looking for 6-year old Bishop, 8-year old Dawson and 10-year old Kaleb Phillips who all have blonde hair and blue eyes.
The man who's suspected of taking them is their 33-year old father, Chad Phillips who's 5'10" with blonde hair and blue eyes.
They believe the Phillips could be heading to Indiana in a dark-green Chevrolet Monte Carlo sedan with Indiana license plates.

A Superior Court judge granted custody to Rosalie Phillips, the biological mother of Kaleb, Dawson and Bishop Phillips Wednesday afternoon. Immediately after the hearing, the boys' father, Chad Phillips, took the children and has not been seen since.Phillips, 33, is described as being a white male, 5'10", 180 lbs. with blond hair and blue eyes. He is driving a Green 1996 Chevy Monte Carlo, possibly with Indiana license plates IU4676.Detectives believe Phillips may be heading towards his home state of Indiana with the boys. Agencies in north Idaho and western Montana were notified of Phillips' possible route later on Wednesday evening.The three boys are Kaleb Phillips, 10, who is 4' tall, 80 lbs. with blond hair and blue eyes; Dawson Phillips, 8, who is 3' tall, 60 lbs. with blond hair and blue eyes; and Bishop Phillips, 6, who is 3' tall, 50 lbs. with blond hair and blue eyes.According to Spokane police, Phillips was last seen with the three boys near the McDonald's at Indiana and Monroe at about 12:30 Wednesday afternoon.Police say Phillips has a history of both mental and physical abuse and that he poses a threat to his three young sons."It's very emotional whenever you have a custody dispute," said Officer Jenn DeRuwe with the Spokane Police Department. "But the court really felt strongly that the father wasn't able to care for those children, concerned about past physical abuse. Those children are in danger with that father."Police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Phillips and his sons to call 911 immediately.

Three children allegedly abducted by their father Wednesday in Spokane were found safe today in Butte, Mont., with the father, Chad Phillips, 33, police say.Montana State Department of Family Services placed an emergency hold on Kaleb, Dawson and Bishop Phillips. The children will be turned over to the Washington state Child Protective Services office in Spokane, which will complete its investigation into the custodial matters.An Amber Alert to help find the missing children has been canceled.Missing were Kaleb, Dawson and Bishop Phillips.At 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, a Superior Court awarded custody of the children to their mother. What a relief they are safe. Sadly, not so in the case of 14 month old Dontrell Johnson.

Three children who were the focus of a multi-state Amber Alert are safe after police found them with their dad in Butte, Montana. But now the question has arisen as to who exactly had custody of the kids.Chad Phillips, the father of Kaleb, Dawson and Bishop, was found along with the kids in a Montana motel early Thursday morning. The kids were turned over to Child Protective Services while Chad Phillips was taken into custody.However Phillips had a court order from Indiana giving him full custody of his three children. It was only after a Spokane judge put that custody plan on hold that Phillips took the kids – and the law – into his own hands.
The Amber Alert flashed across televisions and reader boards all night long and Chad Phillips was watching TV in his hotel room in Butte when he saw the faces of his three children pop up on the screen and called local police.“We found the children safe and sound with their father in Butte, Montana,” Spokane Police spokesperson Officer Jennifer DeRuwe said.Phillips undoubtedly showed Butte police a court order from Indiana granting him full custody of his children. He had used the same paperwork to get his ex-wife to bring their kids to the Spokane County Courthouse on Wednesday.However, during a hearing that would have handed over the children to their dad, Rosalie Phillips accused her ex-husband of abusing the children and one of his kids told the court that his father beat him with a belt. The court ordered the boys remain in Spokane for the next 21 days.“She, the judge, said OK emergency action right now, I'm keeping these kids in the state of Washington so I can look into this further. Mom I'm going to grant you custody pending further hearings,” DeRuwe explained.Chad Phillips apparently didn't feel additional hearings were necessary and while supposedly taking his sons to McDonalds for lunch started driving back to Indiana instead.“Chad had that document that said he's not to take them, he did, he interfered in that he took them out of state. That's an arrestable offense. He gets arrested for that,” DeRuwe said.Since both parents are now accusing each other of abusing their sons, Child Protective Services is taking custody of the boys until their mother and father can be investigated. Phillips has been jailed for custodial interference and if that charge sticks he could be convicted of a felony.

A 33-year-old man accused of unlawfully taking his sons after their mother was awarded custody by a Washington state judge is charged with three counts of first degree custodial interference.Chad Phillips appeared before Justice of the Peace Debra Williams in Butte Thursday. Officials with the Butte-Silver Bow Detention Center confirm that Phillips posted a $50,000 bond Friday morning to return to Washington state.Phillips called Butte police from a motel Thursday morning after seeing an AMBER Alert for his sons broadcast on television. Butte-Silver Bow County Sheriff John Walsh says the boys - age 10, 8 and 6 - were found in good health and turned over to family services.Phillips was accused of taking the children following a court appearance Wednesday in Spokane, Wash., after he lost custody of the boys.
