SPAIN • Emmanuel, 13 ~ Calpe

The Guardia Civil is investigating the reported disappearance of a 13 year old German boy from Calpe.
Emmanuel, has been missing since last Friday, and was last seen when he left home as usual on his bike at around 0835 to go to his adopted family’s pharmacy, but he never got there, and there has been no sight of him or the bike ever since. The last person to see him was a gardener working some 500m from the family home.
Emmanuel arrived in Calpe two years ago as part of a youth re-education programme for problem children. He is not thought to have been carrying any money, mobile phone or change of clothes.
His adoptive parents say that there had been no recent problems at home and his father, José Manuel Pol, commented that he could not believe he had left of his own free will.
Although the possibility that the 13 year old left of his own free will has not been ruled out, the Guardia Civil say as more time passes they fear that the child may have been kidnapped. They have set up an operation to try and locate the youngster.
180 tall, at the time of his disappearance he was wearing a yellow t-shirt, dark jeans and pearl gray Converse trainers.
