Charte Deleon Harris Last Seen With Charles Shoemaker


HOUSTON — An Amber Alert was issued Friday for an 8-year-old boy who has been missing for more than a day. Houston police said Charte Deleon Harris was last seen at about 10 a.m. Thursday with his mother's boyfriend, Charles Shoemaker.Shoemaker took Charte to Kate Bell Elementary School to register him in classes, but he didn't have the paperwork to do so, investigators said.Charte and Shoemaker haven't been seen since.Charte is black, about 4 feet tall and 110 to 120 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt and brown warmup pants.Shoemaker, 29, is black with a dark complexion, 6 feet 1 inch tall, about 250 pounds with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a multicolored shirt and blue jeans.The pair is believed to be traveling in Charte's mother's car, a dark gray 1999 Ford Crown Victoria with Texas license plate No. BX6L210.Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is asked to call the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600.

HOUSTON – Houston police have cancelled an Amber Alert for a missing 8-year-old boy who had last been seen Thursday around 10 a.m. with his mother’s boyfriend.

Police said Charte Harris was found safely Saturday morning and Charles Shoemaker was brought in for questioning.
Authorities said Shoemaker, 29, took Charte to Kate Bell Elementary School in Houston to register him in school, but didn’t have the proper paperwork.

Neither the child or suspect had been seen until Saturday.Shoemaker was arrested on a robbery charge in July and was later released on bond.
