"Toddler John" HELTON-NESBITT - 2 yo - Gainesville FL
Alachua County Sheriff's deputies trying to serve a warrant for arrest on Saturday found a Gainesville home littered with cocaine and oxycodone -- all within reach of a 2-year-old boy who lived there.
Deputies charged the boy's parents, Billy David Nesbitt and Genevieve Helton, along with their roommate, John Cieniewicz, with cruelty to a child and possession of drug equipment. The Department of Children and Family Services tested Helton and Nesbitt for drugs; both tested positive for cocaine, marijuana, opiates and methadone.According to a report, deputies were serving a warrant on Helton for unknown charges when they found several small clear bags of a white powdery substance, along with a straw and another white powdery substance. Cieniewicz told deputies they would test positive for cocaine and oxycodone. A bottle of pills was found on top of a pile of laundry in an open hallway closet, along with a crack pipe, according to the report. Cieniewicz told deputies that he has a prescription for oxycodone, but the bottle was missing 154 pills for the prescription that was filled Friday. All three are being held in the Alachua County Jail on no bond.
